  • the present invention relates to a walking beam type continuous heating furnace designed to eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages and characterized in that it comprises a suitable number of fixed beams and walking beams of compassion structure composed of a plurality of longitudinal beams provided in the direction of movement of the material to be heated and of vertical hairpin beams fixed thereto, said fixed beams and walking beams being arranged in plurality in the direction of movement of the material and at the same time said fixed beams and walking beams being provided in suitable numbers at a right angle to the said direction, thereby forming blocks, and the means for flowing the cooling water in only one direction inside the said beams.
