SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 329,523, dated November 3, 1885 Application filed September 10, IP85. Serial No. 176,752

Be it known that I, GUSTAV H. WERNER, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Ice- Tongs, of which the following is a specifica tion.
My improvements relate to iceitongs; and they consist in the combination of a saw and a splitter with a pair of ice-tongs to make an improved combination-tool.
To more fully describe the construction and operation of my invention, reference is had to the accompanying drawing, in which thefigure represents a perspective view of a pair of icetongs with my improvements shown.
A represents a pair of ice-tongs. B and G are the two arms. One of these arms, B, I provide with teeth or along its outer edge to form a saw, and is intended to be used for sawing ice. The other arm, 6, I construct to form a blade, having its sharp edge b outward, and is intended to serve as a splitter to split the ice after it is sawed. The tongs them- (No model.)

Thus myimproved tongs form and serve as three useful and necessary tools combined in one, and are specially intended for boardinghouses, restaurants, saloons, and families.

What I claim is- 1. The combination of a pair of ice-tongs, A, with the saw-shaped arm B, substantially as herein shown and described, to form a new combination-tool, as and for the purpose set forth.
2. The combination of a pair of ice-tongs, A, with the saw-shaped arm B and bladeshaped arm 0, substantially as herein shown and described, to form a new combinationtool, as and for the purpose set forth.
