This invention relates to sanitation units and more particularly to a combination trash can holder and disposal unit.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a combination trash can holder and disposal unit which will allow a person to dispose of garbage and trash or the like without leaving the house.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a combination trash can holder and disposal unit which will provide protection for the garbage cans from the wind and marauding animals, insects, etc.

It is another object of the invention to provide a combination trash can holder and disposal unit which will have roller means for rolling the garbage cans away from the chute when full and for rolling an empty can into position under the chute to be filled.

It is still another object of the present invention to provide a combination trash can holder and disposal unit which will conceal the trash cans from sight and also provide storage space for yard tools or the like beneath the cans.

Other objects of the invention are to provide a combination trash :can holder and disposal unit bearing the above objects in mind which is of simple construction, has a minimum number of parts, is inexpensive to manufacture and eflicient in operation.

For other objects and for a better understanding of the invention reference may be had to the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawing, in which:

FIGURE 1 is a front elevational view of the present invention shown in section;

FIGURE 2 is a side elevational view shown in section;

FIGURE 3 is a front elevational view of the invention;

FIGURE 4 is a side elevational view of the invention;

FIGURE 5 is a view of the chute door as it looks from inside the house.

Referring now more in detail to the drawing, a combination trash can holder and disposal unit is shown to include a top panel 11, two

side panels

12 and 13, and a front panel 14. The front panel :14 is provided with four

access doors

15, 16, 17 and 18. The wall 19 of the dwelling is utilized as the rear wall or panel of the unit 10.

A chute 20 is installed through the wall 19 opening into the kitchen of the dwelling. A door 21 provided with a handle 22 closes the opening in the kitchen. Door 23 is connected to door 21 by a suitable lever arrangement 24. In opening door 21, door 23 will also open allowing access to the garbage can 28. The double doors 21 and 23 on chute 20 makes it possible to stop odors and also provides good insulation during foul weather.

A plurality of rollers 25 are carried in brackets 26, which are supported by a raised floor 27.

28 and 29 are placed on a sheet 31 of plywood or other suitable material which is placed in position on the rollers 25. When garbage can 28 is full, the lid 30 is replaced and sheet 31 is rolled to the other side of unit 10, thereby aligning can 29 with chute 20.

15 and 16 provide for easy removal of the

28 and 29 for dumping or for awaiting the garbage truck on the day that it comes.

17 and 18 provide access to the area under the raised floor 27. This area provides storage space for tools, paint cans or the like.

While various changes may be made in the detail construction, it shall be understood that such changes shall be within the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims.

Having thus set forth and disclosed the nature of my invention, what is claimed is:

1. A combination trash can holder and disposal unit comprising an enclosure of rectangular configuration, having a top panel, two side panels and a front panel, a chute arranged to be installed to the kitchen wall of a dwelling house, said Wall forming the rear panel of said enclosure, conveyor means within said enclosure, and a plurality of cans adapted to be moved on said conveyor means.

A combination trash can holder and disposal unit according to claim 1, wherein said enclosure has a raised floor which supports said conveyor means including a plurality of brackets, a plurality of rollers being supported by said brackets, a sheet of plywood being supported by said rollers in horizontal relationship for transporting said cans.

Claims

1. A COMBINATION TRASH CAN HOLDER AND DISPOSAL UNIT COMPRISING AN ENCLOSURE OF RECTANGUALR CONFIGURATION, HAVING A TOP PANEL, TWO SIDE PANELS AND A FRONT PANEL, A CHUTE ARRNAGED TO BE INSTALLED TO THE KITCHEN WALL OF A DWELLING HOUSE, SAID WALL FORMING THE REAR PANEL OF SAID ENCLOSURE, CONVEYOR MEANS WITHIN SAID ENCLOSURE, AND A PLURALITY OF CANS ADAPTED TO BE MOVED ON SAID CONVEYOR MEANS.
