22/545751? J5. F'Pfl/VCO United States Patent 0 M 3,258,873 HANDY PAK BABY BOTTLE Walter R. Franco, 4581 Burke Drive, Santa Clara, Calif. Filed Oct. 26, 1964, Ser. No. 406,232 3 Claims. (Cl. 46-41) My invention is directed toward a new and improved baby bottle.
It is an object of my invention to provide a new and improved baby bottle which also serves as a rattle and pacifier.
Another object is to provide a new and improved baby bottle of the character indicated which can be manufactured easily and inexpensively.
All of the foregoing and still further objects and advantages of my invention will now be explained with reference both to this specification and to the drawings wherein:
FIGURE 1 is a side elevation view of my invention;
FIGURE 2 is a bottom end view thereof; and
FIGURE 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a bottle in accordance with my invention having an octagon shape.
Referring now to FIGURES 1 and 2, there is shown a plastic bottle having a neck 10 threaded to receive a cap or a nipple and cap, the bottom of the neck flaring outward to form the top of the main cylindrical section 12 of the bottle. Section 12 has a circular cross section.) The bottom 14 of section 12 is sealed and a hollow small bottom section 16 having balls or rattle elements 17 or other objects therein is secured to bottom 14 and functions as a rattle. A bell 18 is secured to the outer surface of section 16; if desired, additional bells can be used.
A horizontal disc 20 is secured to the bottom of section 16. A pacifier nipple 22 extends downward from disc 20, disc 20 serving as a pacifier mouth stop.
3,258,873 Patented July 5, 1966 If desired, main section 12, instead of having a cylindrical shape of circular cross section, as shown in FIG- URE 3 can have an octagon shaped cross section of eight equal sides 24.
While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, my protection is to be limited only by the terms of the claims which follow.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by letters Patent:
1. A baby bottle comprising a plastic hollow container having a vertically upward extending neck threaded on its outer surface, a hollow main section of cylindrical shape, the bottom of said neck flaring outward to form the top of said main section, the bottom of said main section being sealed, a smaller hollow section secured to the sealed bottom and extending downward therefrom and filled with a plurality of rattle elements, a horizontal disc secured to the bottom of the smaller section, and a pacifier extending downwardly from the disc.
2. A bottle as set forth in claim 1 wherein said main section has a circular cross section.
3. A bottle as set forth in claim 1 wherein said main section has an octagon shaped cross section.

Claims (1)

1. A BABY BOTTLE COMPRISING A PLASTIC HOLLOW CONTAINER HAVING A VERTICALLY UPWARD EXTEDNING NECK THREADED ON ITS OUTER SURFACE, A HOLLOW MAIN SECITON OF CYLINDRICAL SHAPE, THE BOTTOM OF SAID NECK FLARING OUTWARDLY TO FORM THE TOP OF SAID MAIN SECTION, THE BOTTOM OF SAID MAIN SECTION BEING SEALED, A SMALLER HOLLOW SECTION SECURED TO THE SEALED BOTTOM AND EXTENDING DOWNWARD THEREFROM AND FILLED WITH A PLURALITY OF RATTLE ELEMENTS, A HORIZONTAL DISC SECURED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SMALLER SECTION, AND A PACIFIER EXTENDING DOWNWARDLY FROM THE DISC.
