At the moment where the lifting of the needle starts (FIGURE 1), one of the strands of the upper thread 11 forms a loop 32 which appears in the path of the hook '7 which takes it up as soon as it arrives at its height. Subsequently, the hook 7 drives this loop around the spool 9 and thus around the lower thread 10.
