SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 304,932, dated September 9, 1884.
Application filed February 29, 1884.
To all whom, t may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES GULBERsoN HINKLE, of Hazleton, in the county of Gibson and State of Indiana, have invented a new and l5 useful Improvement in Fences, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the annexed drawings, forming part of this specification.
This invention relates to portable board 1o fences; and the invention consists of the con- 2o strip, i, is nailed to their other end. The strips f g h are nailed flat against the boards; but the strip i is nailed with its edge against the boards. The boards a d are made to project slightly beyond the others at one end of the 2 5 panel, to forni tongues j ,while at the other end ofthe panel they are cut away to form seats k between the strips f g, in order that the tongues j of one panel may be set in the seats k of another,

The object of this is to make a frictional joint between the two panels.
