INKSTAND AND CALENDAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 304,806, dated September 9, 1884 Application filed Februar) 9, 1583. (No model.)
T0 all whom it may col/ wern- Be it known that I, GEoEGE W. DowNs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Inkstands and Calendars; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in theart to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters `of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The object of this invention is to provide an article of increased utility; and it consists in the arrangements and combinations of parts, all substantially as will be hereinafter set forth, and iinally embodied in the claim.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, in which similar letters of reference indicate like parts in each of the several gures, Figure l is a perspective View of my improved device. Eig. 2 is a sectional view illustrating the construction and arrangement of the pad; and Fig. 3 is a section taken through line 5v, Fig. 2.
In carrying out the invention I construct a calendar-stand having a base piece or portion,
