BALANCED DOOR FOR STOVES.

To ctlZ whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEoneE WELLHoUsE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Akron, in the county of Summit and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Balanced Doors for Open Stoves and Grates, of which the followingis a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in vertically opting counterbalanced doors for open stove and grate fronts.
The objects of my invention are to provide a door whose operation shall be substantially ing solid to constitute a counterpoise for the door. The light end of each lever is attached to one side of the door D by a link, 0. Each lever is provided with a toothed segment, 0,
which segments mesh when the levers are in place, and compel them to move in unison. Beads or strips or a upon the front serve as guides for the door D. The whole may be covered by an ornamental casing, to serve as a finish for the stove and conceal the working parts.
I claim as my invention- The combination, with a vertically-moving door, of two vertically-swinging levers weighted at one end and connected at the other with opposite ends of the door, and provided with segmental racks which mesh together, substantially as shown, and for the purpose specified.
