Our invention relates to a clip having turnedin ends for use on neck-yokes, single-trees, and like purposes.
Our invention consists in features of novelty hereinafter fully described, and pointed out in the claim.
Referring to the drawings, A represents the middle or central part of a neck-yoke in Fig. 1, and the same part of a single-tree in Fig.5.
B represents a plate secured to the upper edge of the neck-yoke in the one case, and to the back of the single-tree in the other.
0 represents our improved clip, which is U shaped. Its ends 0 are turned inward, as shown, and adapted to fit in notches B of the plates B. The clip is also, preferably, provided with shoulders G which fit against the front edges of the neck-yoke or single-tree. A neck-yoke is preferably provided with two of thesev clips, as shown, the ring D being connected thereto by links D, while the singletrce requires but one, having a solid clevis, J.
Before attaching the clips to the neck-yoke or single-tree they are slipped through the links or rings, (by means of the open ends,)
and then they are slipped over the neck-yoke or single-tree, as the case may be, and brought into the proper position, where they are held by pins or rivets I, or by other suitable means.
We claim as our invention- The combination of a block, A, U-shaped clip 0, having shoulders O and inturned ends 0, and the plate B, having recesses B to receive the clip ends, as set forth.
