- the rolls 30 to be pressed are forced into themachine at one station while the clamping jaws 12 are open; on further rotation, the clamping jaws 12 first close as appears from Fig. 2. Subsequently the press die 19 is fo ced outwards so that the roll is completely compressed into a circular pressing.
- the shape desired is obtained by the design of the clamping jaws and the front end of the press die.
- the pressings then remain in this compressed position during a further rotation so that they will retain their shape after being ejected later.
- This ejection as shown in Fig. 2 as well, is effected by a further outward advance of the press die 19, the clamping jaws 12 being then open again.

- the cam 17 can be adjusted for height via a bush 31.
- a manually actuated control shaft 22 is arranged which rotates a rim having a trapezoidal thread 25 via bevel gears 23 and 24 so that the bush 31 is adjusted for height.
- the press dies 19 can, by way of example, be held by guides 19:: (Fig. 4) which are screwed to the underside of the tool holder plate 9.
