Patent 2,656,- 273), although it was quite unexpected that this compound, which had been shown to be useful as a sequestering agent, could also be used to stabilize an otherwise unstable developing solution containing an alkali metal sullfite, an hydroxylamine salt and an ethylenediamine sa t.
