The opposite ends of the link I20 are slotted at I36 and I38 and are pivotally connected at I40 and I42 to corresponding slots I44 and I46 formed in the links 80 and 94. In a similar manner the link H8 is provided with terminal slots I48 and I50 pivotally connected at I52 and I54 to corresponding slots I56 and I58 in the Intermediate their ends, the

At this point it should be noted that the pivot I34, not only serve to pivotally connect certain of the links together, but also constitute fastening and spacing means for the side walls of the panel sections 38, 40 and 42. For this purpose, as more readily apparent from Figure 5, each of the pivot pins includes a shaft I12, whichextends between the side walls of the associated panel sections and fixes the space therebetween and is internally threaded at its opposite extremities for attachment to the panel side walls as by bolts I14. Suitable spacing collars I16 are provided loosely upon the shafts I12 between the side walls of the associated panel sections for maintaining the links pivoted thereon in proper relation. As will be further apparent from Figure 5, the links of the shafts I12 and in the spacing sleeves I16 of the various panel sections will vary with the widths of these sections.
In a similar manner, each of the pivot pins I40, I10, I54, I52, I64 and I42 likewise constitute combined pivot pins for the links and fastening and spacing members for the side walls of As shown in Figure 6, the construction of these combined pivot pins and spacing and fastening members is identical with that described in connection with Figure 5.
From the foregoing, it is felt that the operation of the parallel connecting bar linkage will now be readily understood. The linkage will,
maintain the various sections of the door in proper relation to each other during movement collapsed to the extended position, and it is observed that the connecting bar linkage is compactly housed within the telescoping sections themselves. I
From the foregoing, the construction and operation of the .device will be readily understood and further explanation is believed to be unnecessary. However, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art after consideration of the foregoingspecification and accompanying drawings, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction shown and described, but

A telescoping door assembly comprising a plurality of telescoping panel sections and means supporting said sections, said panel sections including an end panel section and a plurality of intermediate panel sections extending from said end panel sections, each of said intermediate panel sections having spaced side walls slidably embracing an adjacent panel section, a parallel bar linkage connecting said sections together and permitting telescoping movement therebetween, vertically spaced and horizontally aligned pins secured to facing walls of said spaced side walls of said intermediate panel sections and maintaining them in spaced relation, link bars of said parallel bar linkage being pivoted on certain of said horizontally aligned pins, additional link bars being pivotally secured to the vertically spaced pins on opposite sides of said certain horizontally aligned pins, and said additional link bars having slotted ends at their pivotal securement to provide alost motion connection whereby said panel sections may be telescoped and expanded.
