SPEGIFIGATION'forming part of. Letters Patent No. 258,994, dated June 6, 1882, Application filed November 25, 1881. (No model.)
in Bow or Scarf Holders; and I do hereby de-.
clare that the following is a full, clear, and
exact description of the invention, which willenable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The object of my invention is to make a bow or scarf holder that is easily adj usted, and that My holder is made of brass or other suitable material. It is cut by means of a cutting-die, and with another die is struck into shape and corrugated,
to stifl'en it. p In the drawings, Figure l is a front view of my holder. Fig. 2 is a back View. Fig. 3 is a back view with the holder reversed; and Fig. 4 is a section through hook, brace, and pin.
A is the brace that goes under the collar. B is the hook that hooks over the bands of the shirt and collar. 0 G are plates in which loops E E are made to hold the pin D.
To use the holder, put the pin D through one of the loops E. Then press a part of the back of the bow between the plates 0 G and run the pin under a part of the back of the bow and let the point of the pin pass through the opposite loop E, and the how will be fastened to the holder. To fasten the holder to the collar, put the hook B over the bands of the collarand shirt and turn the ends of the brace A under the folds of the collar, and the holder and how will be secured to the collar.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- An improved bow or scarf holder,-consistin g of the brace A, hook B, plates 0 0, pin D, and loops E E, all substantially as shown and described.
