(ci. 13s-11) My invention relates to hair cutting faculties. and has among its objects and advantages the provision of an improved barbers' comb.
In the accompanying drawing:

Figure 3 is a sectional view taken along the line 3-3 of Figure 1; and
Figure 4 is a sectional view taken along the line 4-4 of Figure l. A
In the embodiment selected for illustration, the comb includes a back part III and relatively heavy end teeth l2 and Il., The tooth I2 is considerably shorter than the tooth M and the comb tapers uniformly throughout its entirelength from the tooth Il to the tooth I2. The back also tapers slightly in the .same direction when viewed according to Figure 2. Coarse teeth I6 are distributed throughout about one-half the length of the comb and are spaced to provide' accommodation for coarse but shorter teeth I8. The teeth Il are aitemately distributed between the teeth II and have lengths slightly greater than one-hal! the lengths oi the teeth l0. However, the lengths of the teeth I6 and Il shorten uniformly in conformity with thecomb taper. The teeth Ii and Il are arranged in pairs Il comprising one tooth i6 and one tooth Il. The tooth I6 in'each pair isseparatedfromitstoothllbyabodyllsothat as being deiined by straight faces Il on the comb back Il, while the bodies 22 are provided with concaved faces il on opposite outer sides thereof. All the bodies 2! have straight end faces ll.
Acomb constructed in accordance with my invention expedite; the hair cutting operation in' that lc. three-way cut may be made with one stroke. This comb works equally well in all types and textures ot-hair. The courte part o1 the comb may be used for shaping and thinning thick hair without ruining the diiierent layers, while the thin teeth may be employed for fine hair.
