The wardrode of every well-dressed woman comprises a plurality of dresses of different colors and patterns, as well. as a plurality of. diiferent coats. Inasmuch as fashion dictates that accessories used harmonize with each dress or coat, or carry out somep-redetermined color scheme, it is necessary that. awoman, to be well-dressed, own several hand bags. Ownership of a plurality of such hand bags has however been found to be a costly matter, and the necessitycf transfering the contents of one bag to another is rec.- ognized by women to take up considerable time and efiort.

Therefore, it is the chief aim of my invention to provide a reversible hand bag, which may be carried with its inner or outer face exposed.

It is a further advantage of my invention to provide a hand bag the inner face of which differs from its outer face in color, design, pattern, material or in any other desirable way, and to provide means for reversing the bag so that either its inner or its outer facemay be exposed.

A still further purpose of the present invention resides in the provision of a reversible hand bag made of a unitary piece of material, each side of the bag being provided with a retaining member,

which may be removed and replaced at will, so

that the bag may be reversed.

Yet another aim of this invention lie in the" provision of areversible hand bag of simple con.- struction, relatively inexpensive to manufacture, and which is highly efficient in its use. r

And it is yet another object of the present invention to provide a hand bag of this character, which may be reversed in a few minutes, without the use of any tools and without requiring any skill.

These and other meritorious objects and advantages, which will become more fully apparent as the description hereof proceeds, are accom- Plished by the novel construction, combination and arrangement of few and simple parts, here} inafter described and illustrated in the accomjpanying drawing, constituting a material component of this disclosure, and in which: f

The form illustrated in Figure 4 differs only in that no cover is used. Instead there is employed a pivotally secured clamp, which will close the bag in the manner illustrated in Figure 4' when the bag is in one position, and when'the bag is in reversed position, groove 40 will engage the upper edges of the bag instead of groove 42.
