This invention relates to a holder for cosmetics, and more particularly to a lipstick container and holder formed wholly of a fibrous material, such as er, and wherein the lipstick may be propelled into position for use or repelled from operatlve position into inoperative position and in ets- 56),

The nature and objects of the instant invention will become clear i'rom the following description, appended claims, and accompanying forming a part of this specification and wherein:

In the form shown in Figure 5, the sleeve 20 is curled inwardly at thebottom edge thereof to .top edge of which lies in substantially the same horizontal plane as the bottom edge of the aperture 26. Intermediate the bottomo! the cup 22, which lies in substantially the same horizontal plane as aperture 28, and the bead 50, there is disposed a member 52 provided with a notched tongue 28 the aperture 28, as prevlously mentioned. The member 52 may be of any appropriate geometric shape and form and is and secured in position, preferably without adhesive, because of its disposition between th bottom of the cup and the bead. The cap 4 is formed of a tube 42 having its upper edge curled inwardly to form a peripheral bead '44. To produce the lipstick holder 3 shown in F1:- ure 5, the lower end or the sleeve 2c is inwardly curled to form the bead 50 and the cup 22 is accured in position either prior or subsequent to securing the cup 22 in position. I claim: l. A lipstick bolder comprising a container having a body member and a. bottom closure therefor, a tubular member having its lower portion positioned in said container and provided with a substantially vertically extending slot which terminates below and in spaced relationship to the top edge of said tubular member a. sleeve sliclablv positioned in said tubular member, said sleeve having all-opening in the wall thereof, a cup for receiving one end of a lipstick disposed in said sleeve, and means disposed within said sleeve and in engagement with the bottom of said cup, said means having a tongue which passes through said opening and.- is slidably disposed in said slot.

A lipstick holder comprising a container having a. body member and a bottom closure therefor, a tubular member having its lower portion positioned in said container and provided L with a substantially vertically extending slot which terminates below and in spaced relationship to the top edge of said tubular member, a. sleeve slidably positioned in said tubular member,

A lipstick holder comprising a container having a body member and a bottom closure therefor, a tubular member having its lower portion positioned in said container and provided with a substantially vertically extending slot which terminates below and in spaced relationship to the top edge of said tubular member, a sleeve slidably positioned in said tubular member, said sleeve having an opening in the wall thereof, a. cup for receiving one end of a lipstick disposed in said sleeve, means disposed within said sleeve and in eng gement with the bottom of said cup, said means having a tongue which passes through said opening and is slidably disposed in said slot, and means on the interior of said tubular memher to limit the downward movement of said sleeve. A lipstick holder comprising a container havingabodymemberandabottomclosure therefor, a tubular member having its lower portion positioned in said container and provided with a substantially vertically extending slot which terminates below and in spacedrelafionshiptothetopedgeof saidtubularmembena. sleeve slidably positioned in said tubular memher, said sleeve having an opening in the wall thereof, a cup for receiving one end of a lipstick disposed in said sleeve, means disposed within said sleeve and in engagement with the bottom of said cup, said means having a tongue which passesthroughsaid opening andisslidablydisposed in said'slot, and an inverted cup in the interior of said tubular member to limit the downward movement of said sleeve.
