TUG-CLIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 232,532, dated. September 21, 1880. Application filedfl'anuary 26, 1880.:
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARCHIBALD MOCORVIE, a citizen of Ontario, residing at Lucknow, in the county of Bruce and Province of Ontario, Canada, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tug-Clips and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilledin the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to an improved tugclip for hames or horse-collars of that class in which the tug-strap is secured in a pintle-plate having a removable pintle; and it has for its object to provide for automatically securing the pintle in place. This object I attain by the means illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 represents a front view of a horse collar with my improvement attached thereto, and Fig. 2 a detached view of the removable pintle.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1'S
Atug-cli p consisting of a pintle-plate adapted to be secured to a horse-collar and a removable pintle provided with an annular recess at its lower end, and a spring connected to the collar and adapted to engage the recess in the pintle, substantially as specified.
