This invention relates to that class of buckboards or buck-wagons which are constructed with curved springtrusses, which are connected at their opposite ends to loops attached to the under side of the buckboard, and bear against the board proper at or near the center of their length.
My improvements Will be fully hereinafter described and specially pointed out in the claim.
This invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 represents a side view. an inverted plan view.
Similar letters indicate corresponding parts.
The letter A designates the board proper, supporting a seat, B, in the usual manner, and O O the axles. D D are spring-trusses combined with the structure according to my invention.
The springtrusses D D consist of curved flat strips of metal, and they are flexibly attached at their ends to metal strips D D, which are bolted to the axles, and also to blocks 0 O situated adjacent and parallel to the axles, the trusses beingjoined to the strips D'D by links 0 6.
Fig. 2 is (N 0 model.)
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- Y The combination, in a buckwagon, of the axles (l G and the blocks 0 0, arranged parallel to the axles a short distance from the inner sides of the same, with the buckboard A, attached to the upper sides of the axles and to the blocks, the metallic straps D D, rigidly connecting the axles and blocks, and provided with links 0 0, adjacent to the inner edges of the blocks, and the curved spring-trusses D D, attached to the links at their ends and supporting the buckboard at or near their center, all as herein shown and described.
