An object of the invention is to provide a simple, practical and eicient article of the character described.

Another object is to provide a diaper which may be secured without the use of pins or similar means of attachment.

A further object is to provide a diaper which may be secured in place more quickly and eiliciently than heretofore.

An additional object is to provide a diaper so shaped and constructed that the securing means is readily accessible.

Other objects and advantages will appear and be brought out more fully in the following specication. reference being had to the accompanying drawing, wherein:

Referring more particularly to the drawing, I show a textile piece 5 preferably of soft cotton material or the equivalent having an anterior waist portion 1 and a posterior waist portion 6, the latter being approximately. one-half the length of the former, the article having a stitched side edge portion 8. The diaper in use can be clearly seen in Fig. l. Ties II and I2 are secured together, making a complete waist band, and ties I3 and I5 are secured together just above the leg, thus making a complete garment. Inasmuch as no pins or clasps of any kind are necessary, there is no danger of injury to the infant or possibility of swallowing the same. 'Iies II and I2 may be removed from bands 9 for occasional replacement or for washing if desired.

It is to be understood that the foregoing description is illustrative rather than restrictive of the invention, and that changes and modiilcations may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the subjoined claim.

Having described my invention, what I claim An article of the character described, having anterior and posterior waist portions, said anterior portion being shorter than said posterior portion, a tie slidably positioned in each of said hems, and a plurality of ties secured adjacent the edge portions intermediate said waist portions.
