  • This invention relates to a double twist twisting spindle in which in known manner the thread unwinding from a stationary supply bobbin is conducted through the hollow twisting spindle and thence passes in balloon to the winding bobbin. On this travel a certain tension is imparted to the thread before it enters the hollow twisting spindle to attain which tension a brake is usually provided in the stationary bobbin holder.
