  • the effect of the differential shrinkage is obtained after the collar has-been manufactured by the simple expedient of wetting it with water. Eventhe insensible perspiration of the body may serve to bring out the differential shrinkage characteristics sufliciently to cause the desired inward curling tendency of the points.
