12. A knit pile fabric comprising a plurality of rows of cross-connected warp chains, combined with pile threads lying between adjacent warprchains and underlying the cross-connecting threads and extending up between adjacent cross-connecting threads to form piles.

A knit pile fabric comprising rows of chain loops cross-connected by threads running from chain to chain, and pile threads underlying the cross-connecting threads and looped through spaces between the chains and the cro'ss-connecting threads thereby forming pile loops on one side of the fabric. The method of manufacturing pile fabric which comprises knitting parallel rows of Warp chains, cross-connecting the same by inlaid thread, placing pile-loop threads between adjacent rows of warp chains and under the cross runs of the inlay thread and looping the pileloop threads through spaces between the adjacent runs of inlay thread to leave pile loops on one facev of the fabric, the loops lying in rows between and parallel to the warp chains.
16. The method of manufacturing a pile fabric, which comprises knitting cross-connected wales, placing pile-loop threads between adjacent wales and under the runs of cross-connecting threads and looping the pile-loop threads through between adjacent runs of cross-connecting threads.
17. A knit pile fabric comprising a plurality of cross-connected wales, combined with pile threads lying between adjacent wales and underlying the cross-connecting threads and extending up between adjacent cross-connecting threads to form piles.
