This invention relates to a means and. method whereby snow slides especiallyfrom mountains or high elevations may be eliminated, in order to avoid the damage caused thereby to roads and It is also aimed to provide a novel means and method of a permanent nature, which is sufficiently strong and braced to withstand the tremendous impact of snow slides;
The more specific objects and advantages will becomeapparent from a consideration of the description following taken in connection with the accompanying drawing illustrating an operative embodiment.

Referring specifically to the drawing wherein like reference characters designate like or similar parts, a mountain or incline is suggested at In. At any desired location thereon, posts ll are set into the ground. Such posts may be of wood, suitably treated to prevent undue decay and they may also be of metal. Obviously the posts may be of any desired size or shape. The posts are arranged in any desired manner and'wire netting, employed in sheet form, is fastened at its terminals to adjacent posts by wrapping the same therearound as at l3 and nailing or otherwise securing the same thereto at M, such wire netting being fastened to intermediate posts if desired by the nails M, by clamps or in any other desired manner. The netting l2 may be of large mesh or small mesh and of any' size preferred and of any metal, sufficiently strong. 5 In addition, the earth is roughened intermedi- "ate the posts I l as by the provision of trenches l5.
In addition, strong metallic bracing means are provided as at 16 and for instance, in the form of wire having its terminals surrounding two of the posts, one at the top and the other at the bottom, and between the post being twisted or otherwise secured together as shown at H, such element l6 being inclined and constituting efiective braces.
It will be realized that the wire netting l2 may be arranged in any desired manner, crisscrossed or otherwise, so as to intercept any snow slides in order to arrest the same, aided by the trenches H: which may be engaged by the slide and serve to check the momentum thereof and relieve adjacent posts of the impact.
The invention is a very sturdy and strong construction and is primarily adapted to remain permanently in place on the mountain or incline.
Various changes may be resorted to provided they fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
I claim as my invention:--
A snow slide preventing means comprising posts, wire netting secured to the posts, posts behind the first mentioned posts, wire netting secured to the second mentioned posts, and brace means between and at an angle to the nettings extending from the tops ofcertain of the first mentioned posts to certainof the second mentioned posts, adjacent the groundline.
