My invention relates tothe treatment of diseases, and has among its objects and advantages the provision of an improved sanitary device designed for male use.

An object of my invention is to provide a sanitary device along the lines of the device illustrated in my Patent 1,982,520, issued November 27, 1934. In the instant case, the unit is made of flexible material and constructed in such a manner as to facilitate the use of flexible material in the nature of rubber. The unit is molded as a single piece and the attaching element is so designed as to provide an efiicient supporting function.

In the embodiment selected to illustrate my invention, I make use of a receptacle or cup ll] having an open end 12 for the reception of the male organ. The cup I0 is molded of resilient material such as rubber and includes a loop I4 which embraces the male organ for connecting purposes. The loop l4, when viewed according to Figs. 1 and 3, is arranged in slightly angular relation with the open end of the cup Ill. The loop is molded integrally with the cup Ill at It and is additionally connected with the cup through the medium of straps l8 which are molded integrally with the cup l0 and the loop Id.

In use, it is important that the organ be held in spaced relation with the wall of the cup. To this end the inner wall includes a rib 2H spaced inwardly of the open end of the cup and in parallel relation therewith. A second rib 22 projects inwardly of the wall and is U-shaped when viewed according to Fig. 4 and has its ends connected with the rib 20 as at 24, in Fig. 5. The ribs 28 and 22 perform a spacing function for the organ so that the discharge may flow freely into the cup. The ribs are molded integrally with the cup.

The device is molded in various sizes. Because of the straps l8, the loop I4 is effectively connected with the cup. In addition to supporting the loop l4 in proper angular relation with the cup, the straps I8 perform a reenforcing function with respect to the connection between the loop and the cup.

While the cup is of a flexible nature, the

20 and 22 are of suflicient proportions and rigidity to constitute eifective spacers. Because of the unit construction, the device may be manufactured at a low cost and its flexible nature embodies an element of accommodation to the organ.

Without further elaboration, the foregoing will so fully explain my invention, that others may by applying current knowledge readily adapt the same for use under various conditions of service.

I claim:

1. A device of the type described comprising a flexible cup, a flexible loop connected with the cup and positioned exteriorly thereof, flexible connecting straps between the loop and the cup, and spacing elements positioned inside the cup and molded integrally therewith, said loop and said straps being molded integrally with the cup.

2. A device of the type described comprising a flexible cup having an open end, a flexible loop connected with the cup in spaced relation with the open end, flexible straps connecting the loop with the cup, and flexible spacing ribs projecting inwardly of the cup wall.
