The edge II of the panel 9 comprises a crease line which has an extension 20, which extension, however, is slightly at an angle to the vertical and is disposed in approximately the same direction as the crease line I6. A figure 24 constitutes an extension oi' the portions of the superimposed paper strip above the crease lines 22 and 23.

brought toward each other in the operation of folding the greeting card, form a dihedral angle facing toward the backing sheet, whereas the; crease line I6 is such that the two strips of material on each side thereof form, when the card is being folded, a dihedral angle, facing away from the backing sheet. The surfaces between the two crease lines and the extending crease line cbnstltute a pair of triangles which form, when the card is partly unfolded, a dihedral angle facing toward the backing sheet in the case of one of the animated figures, and in the case of the other animated figure away from the backing sheet, the apicesof the triangles meeting at a common point, with the extending crease line constituting the edge of such dihedral angle, and extending, in such partly unfolded condition of the card, from the apices of the triangles toward the backing sheet in one of thefanimatedfigures, and away from vthe backing sheetin thefcase of the other animated figure. Of course, it is obvious that only a single animated gure may be provided on the superimposed paper strip and that such figure may be either that represented by the gure I9 or that representedby the figure 24. Itis also obvious that the particular design imparted to the superimposed paper strip and the figures extending therefrom are merely illustrative. Specific changes may therefore be made either in the configuration of the several parts constituting my novel greeting c ard or in their disposition without departing from my invention.
