This invention relates to toilet accessories, and has for its object the provision of a sanitary case for containing a tooth brush and a tube of dentifrice, a further object being to provide a case of such construction that pr-oper ventilation will be provided and the tooth brush and the dentifrice may be easily removed when desired for use. The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing and consists in cerfully described and then more particularly defined in the appended claims.

In carrying out the invention, there is provided a preferably rectangular case or box I formed of any suitable preferred material having a door 2 at its front side which is hingedly mounted at one edge and equipped at its opposite edge with a lock 3 of any approved design whereby the door may be held in closed position. Within the box or case is a partition 4 dividing the box into two compartments, the smaller compartment being intended to receive a tooth brush 5, while the other compartment will receive a tube of dentifrice 6. The partition is secured in any preferred manner to the bottom of the box or case and terminates short of the top of the box, as

clearly shown, and in the top of the box are a plurality of narrow slots I providing for a circulation of air therethrough. In the back of the box is an opening 8 which may be engaged over a suspending device whereby the box may be hung upon a wall or other xed support, if so desired. In the bottom of the box below each compartment is an opening 9 and on the bottom within each compartment are cleats I0 constituting guides for slides II which constitute closures for the openings 9 and respectively support the tooth brush and the dentifrice tube. The slides are formed with downturned flanges I2 at their rear ends which engage in the respective openings 9 and thereby aid in guiding the slides as they are moved inwardly or outwardly and also limit the outward movement of the slidesgby impinging against the front ends of the respective openings. The front ends of the slides are formed with projecting nger pieces tain novel features which will be hereinafter rst I3 whereby they may be easily grasped when it is desired to withdraw them and through the slides are formed openings I4 providing for a circulation of air therethrough.

The device is obviously simple in construction and neat in appearance and may be ornamented in any desired manner so as to have an attractive iinish. The tooth brush and the dentifrice may be easily placed in the proper compartment if the door 2 be opened but it is not necessary to thereafter open the door except to substitute a new brush or dentifrice supply for the exhausted or worn out articles. When the use of the brush is desired, the slide upon which it rests is simply drawn forward whereupon the brush will drop onto the hand of the operator, and a similar action will take place if the slide supporting the dentifrice be drawn forward. The cleats not only serve as guides for the slides but they also serve as retainers to keep the slides in their proper places and resist any tendency of the slides to buckle. While I have shown a door 2 on the front of the case, it will be understood that this door may be secured xedly in place and the tooth brush or the tube of dentifrice returned to place through the openings in the bottom of the case after use. The device is small and may be very readily carried in a small hand bag so that it will be always available for use by the owner. The provision of the slots I in the top of the case and the openings I4 in the slides, provide for an eicient circulation of air through the case so that the tooth brush will quickly dry after use. This circulation is facilitated by the space left between the top of the case and the upper end of the partition.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is:

1. A case for toilet articles having a partition therein secured upon the bottom of the case and terminating short of the top of the same, the case having openings in its bottom and having Ventilating openings in its top, and slides mounted on the bottom of the case and having perforations therethrough and provided at their rear ends with dependent flanges engaged in the respective openings in the bottom of the case and limiting the withdrawing movement of the slides by impinging against the front ends of the openings in the bottom of the case.

2. A case for toilet articles including a box having a partition defining compartments adapted to receive toilet articles, said partition being secured to the bottom of the box, a door normally closing the front of thebox and commu- 55 nicating with both of the compartments, said box being formed with openings at the bottom thereof, cleats carried at the bottom of the boX and defining guides, and slides shiftable in said guides for closing the openings and supporting toilet articles Within the box, said slides having flanges adapted for limiting travel thereof.

3. A device of the class described including a box having side Walls and a bottom Wall, said walls and a partition dividing the box into compartments, said partition being secured to the bottom Wall, openings formed in the bottom wall, Ventilating openings formed in the top of the box, a door normally closing the front of the box and communicating with both of the compartments, said compartments being adapted to receive toilet articles, cleats carried in the side Walls of the box and cooperating with the bottom wall for dening guides adjacent the openings, and slides normally closing the openings and having flanges limiting their sliding travel, said slides having their edges disposed in the guides and said slides retaining toilet articles within the box, said cleats preventing buckling of the slides.
