  • the animal feed consists of two components that essentially are spatially separated (not intermixed), wherein the pH value of the two components preferably differs by less than 1, particularly by less than 0.5, and/or the salt content of the two components preferably differs by less than 5 percent, particularly by less than 2.5 percent, of the salt content of the components with the lower salt content and/or the water activity value of the two components preferably differs by less than 0.2, particularly by less than 0.1.
  • An animal feed with particular visual appeal can be achieved and, for example, the acceptance by the animal to be fed can be increased due to the use of two components, wherein one component preferably is arranged in such a way that it essentially covers the second component after the animal feed was dumped out of the container.
