Description
- The present application claims the priority of Taiwan Application No. 108137436, filed Oct. 17, 2019, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.
- The present disclosure generally relates to a cleaning apparatus, and, more particularly, to a cleaning apparatus that is attached on both opposite sides of the glass panel through magnetic wheelsets that move up and down.
- Devices used for cleaning both sides of window glasses or panel glasses on high-rise buildings are common. Because of the difficulty in high-rise window cleaning, window cleaners usually climb out of the windows at high risk. Using devices for cleaning both sides of window glasses can effectively reduce the security cost and the risk of injury.
- Cleaning machine for cleaning both sides of the glass panel on the market usually include a pair of devices, each of which is attached on opposite sides of the window glass, respectively and the pair of machines attracts each other because of magnetic attraction. Since the surface of the window glasses is usually smooth and flat, machines may move and rotate smoothly on the surface of the window glasses during the cleaning process. If the window glasses are figured glasses, stained glasses, or any type of glasses with irregular protrusions on the surface, the uneven surface would cause a resistive force resisting the motion of the cleaning machines.
- Therefore, it is a problem to be solved that designing a cleaning apparatus for cleaning both sides of the glass panel capable of moving and rotating smoothly on a rough and uneven surface of the glass panels.
- In light of solving the foregoing problems of the prior art, the present invention provides a cleaning apparatus for cleaning both sides of a glass panel comprising two cleaning components, each of which is located on opposite sides of the glass panel, respectively. Each of the cleaning components comprises a body comprising a central portion and a peripheral portion substantially surrounding the central portion, and the peripheral portion has a plurality of grooves on a bottom surface of the peripheral portion; a cleaning module disposed on a bottom surface of the body; and a plurality of magnetic modules, wherein each of the magnetic modules comprises a magnetic wheelset disposed in the groove and exposed on the bottom surface of the body.
- The two cleaning components are attached to the opposite sides of the glass panel by the magnetic attraction of the magnetic wheelsets, and one of the cleaning components is driven by a motor to rotate and drives the other cleaning component on the opposite side of the glass panel to rotate together. The magnetic wheelset rolls along a surface of the glass panel and moves up and down in the groove while the two cleaning components are rotating.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the magnetic wheelset comprises a shaft and a plurality of magnetic wheels, wherein the shaft passes through the plurality of magnetic wheels.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the body further has a stopper disposed on an edge of the groove adjacent to the bottom surface of the peripheral portion to prevent the shaft from being detached from the groove.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the cleaning components further comprises a cover mounted in the through-hole, and the body further comprises a through-hole penetrating the body, and wherein the groove is formed by the through-hole and the cover.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the through-hole is an elongated hole, and the groove has two ends and extends in a direction radially outward with one of the two ends near the center of the peripheral portion and the other one of the two ends near the outer side of the peripheral portion.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the cover has a sidewall, and the groove further comprises a gap, wherein the gap is formed between the sidewall and the stopper when the cover is mounted in the through-hole, and the end of the shaft is restricted in the gap.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the cleaning module is a cleaning cloth, sponge, or brush.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the body further has a convex portion, at the top of the central portion of the body, and a recess portion, at the bottom of the central portion of the body.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the convex portion comprises a connecting hole penetrating the body for connecting to a movable joint of a water pipe or the motor.
- In an exemplary embodiment, the cleaning apparatus further comprises a safety rope having two ends. One end of the safety rope is connected to the body of one of the cleaning components, and the other end is connected to a fixed object in the external environment.
- In summary, the present invention provides a cleaning apparatus for cleaning both sides of the glass panel. Especially, while the cleaning apparatus contacts the uneven surface of the glass panel, the gap between the magnetic wheelset and the cover allows the cleaning apparatus to adaptably move up and down on the uneven surface. Therefore, the cleaning apparatus can be applied to various surfaces of the glass panel.
