Abstract
A multi-functional window washing and wiping device comprises mainly a device body and a retractable rod connected to the device body, wherein on the device body are disposed a toothed gear assembly comprising a plurality of toothed gears and a vortex rod for driving the toothed gear assembly, whose two ends are pivotally connected to wheels disposed on two sides of the device body. At least two tube bodies are disposed above the device body. When using the present invention, assemble a cleaning tool such as a brush, a sponge, or a piece of cloth on the toothed gear assembly; input detergent and water via the tube bodies; and hold the retractable rod, place the device body on a glass window, and move the device body along the glass window. The purpose of washing glass windows in buildings is achieved by rolling the cleaning tool by driving the toothed gear assembly via wheels or a motor without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
Description
- The present invention relates to a multi-functional window washing and wiping device, and particularly to a window washing device which may achieve the purpose of washing glass windows in buildings without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
- Because glass technology is advanced, and because glass has high penetrability, and is sparkling, clean, beautiful and modern, it is well suited for exterior walls or glass shutters in buildings. After long-term exposure to wind and rain, however, glass windows may easily get soiled with grime and water stains, which may affect the outward appearance of buildings as well as city appearance. Therefore, glass windows need regular washing and maintenance. Currently, glass exterior walls or glass windows are manually cleaned in most cases. Personnel access exterior walls of a building by hanging on a platform and wash the walls on the moving platform. This existing method of window washing is highly risky because it is performed in mid-air and the platform is shaky. This is not an easy job for everyone, and therefore there is often a shortage of manpower. It is impossible for inhabitants to clean their own windows, either. In view of the foregoing, after laborious research and experiments, the applicant of the present invention has devised a multi-functional window washing and wiping device which may reduce the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
- A primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a multi-functional window washing and wiping device which may achieve the purpose of washing glass windows in buildings without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
- The foregoing multi-functional window washing and wiping device comprises a device body and a retractable rod connected to the device body, wherein on the device body are disposed a toothed gear assembly comprising a plurality of toothed gears and a vortex rod for driving the toothed gear assembly, whose two ends are pivotally connected to wheels disposed on two sides of the device body. At least two tube bodies are disposed above the device body. When using the present invention, assemble a cleaning tool such as a brush, a sponge, or a piece of cloth on the toothed gear assembly; input detergent and water via the tube bodies; and hold the retractable rod, place the device body on a glass window, and move the device body along the glass window. The purpose of washing glass windows in buildings is achieved by rolling the cleaning tool by driving the toothed gear assembly via wheels or a motor without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
- A foregoing multi-functional window washing and wiping device, wherein the toothed gear assembly comprises at least a transmission gear meshed with the vortex rod, driven gears meshed with the transmission gear, and a driving gear meshed with the driven gear with a cleaning tool such as a brush or a sponge disposed on the driving gear.

FIG. 1 andFIG. 2 , as well asFIG. 3 , showing a three-dimensional view, a three-dimensional exploded view, and a view of a transmission structure according to the present invention. As the figures show, a multi-functional window washing and wiping device according to the present invention comprises a device body 1 and aretractable rod 2 connected to the device body 1, wherein on a rear rim of the device body I is disposed a protrudingear 11 for pivotally connecting the device body 1 to theretractable rod 2. In an interior of the device body 1 is disposed a toothed gear assembly 3 comprising a plurality of toothed gears. In the present embodiment, the toothed gear assembly 3 comprises at least atransmission gear 31, two drivengears 32 meshed with thetransmission gear 31, and two rotatingdiscs 33 fixedly disposed on the two drivengears 32. Through holes going through a top of the device body 1 are respectively disposed at centers of the two drivengears 32 and two rotating discs 3 to be respectively connected withtube bodies - The
transmission gear 31 of the toothed gear assembly 3 is meshed with avortex rod 36.Wheels 37 are pivotally connected on two ends of thevortex rod 36 respectively, protruding and exposed on two sides of the device body 1. When moving the device body 1 to rotate thewheels 37, thevortex rod 36 is driven to drive the entire toothed gear assembly 3 so that the cleaning tool 4 disposed on the two rotatingdiscs 33 is rotated. Above the device body 1 is further disposed amotor 38 and a transferringmember 381. By the rotating and switching of the transferringmember 381, a transmission shaft of themotor 38 is pivotally connected with thetransmission gear 31, which is disengaged from thevortex rod 36; or by the rotating and switching of the transferringmember 381, thetransmission gear 31 is meshed with thevortex rod 36 and the transmission shaft of themotor 38 is disengaged from thetransmission gear 31. - A bottom end of the
retractable rod 2 is pivotally connected to the protrudingear 11 disposed on the device body 1, so that theretractable rod 2 may swing at elevated and depressed angles. Ahandle 21 is disposed at a top end of theretractable rod 2. Thetube bodies retractable rod 2 and are pulled out along theretractable rod 2 for connecting to detergent and water. - A multi-functional window washing and wiping device is formed by assembling the foregoing components. When using the device, assemble a cleaning tool 4 such as a brush, a sponge, or a piece of cloth on the toothed gear assembly 3; input detergent and water via the
tube bodies retractable rod 2, place the device body 1 on a glass window, and move the device body 1 along the glass window. The purpose of washing glass windows in buildings is achieved by rolling the cleaning tool 4 by driving the toothed gear assembly 3 viawheels 37 without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air. It will be appreciated that the present invention may also be used for cleaning floor. In a similar manner, various cleaning tools 4 may be disposed below the device body 1 and floor cleaning is performed by a user holding thehandle 21. - Please refer to
FIG. 4 , showing a view of the present invention in operation. Please also refer toFIGS. 1 and 2 . As the figures show, when using the present invention, the user holds theretractable rod 2, places the device body 1 on a glass window, and moves the device body 1 along the glass window. The rotation of thewheels 37 drives the toothed gear assembly 3, which drives the cleaning tool 4 to rotate. When thewheels 37 rotate, thevortex rod 36 drives thetransmission gear 31, which drives the two drivengears 32 respectively. The two drivengears 32 then respectively drive the two rotatingdiscs 33, which drive the cleaning tool 4 disposed on the two rotatingdiscs 33. Detergent and water are released via thetube bodies wheels 37 to slide when cleaning glass, according to the present invention, by the rotating and switching of the transferringmember 381, a transmission shaft of themotor 38 is pivotally connected with thetransmission gear 31, which is disengaged from thevortex rod 36. As such, thetransmission gear 31 is transmitted by themotor 38 so as to maintain the best cleaning effect. - Please refer to
FIG. 5 , showing a view of another preferred embodiment in use according to the present invention. As the figure shows, the present invention may further be provided with a gripper 5, which may turn about freely. Abuckle part 51 is disposed on the gripper 5, and at least twolocking members 52 are disposed at appropriate positions on the gripper 5. When using the present invention, fix the gripper 5 on a window frame 6 with thelocking members 52 and place and position theretractable rod 2 across thebuckle part 51, so that the entire window washing device may be pulled forward and backward and may swing upward and downward with thebuckle part 51 as a pivot, which makes it easier and effort-saving to clean glass. - The foregoing preferred embodiments of the present invention are illustrated of the present invention rather than limiting of the present invention. It is intended to cover various modifications and changes included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims, the scope of which should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar structures.
- In view of the foregoing, the present invention relates to a multi-functional window washing and wiping device, comprising a device body provided with a toothed gear assembly and wheels disposed on two sides of the device body. The rotation of the wheels drives the toothed gear assembly, which drives the cleaning tool disposed on the toothed gear assembly to rotate. The purpose of cleaning glass windows in buildings is achieved by easy operation of the present invention without the risk of having window washers hang in mid-air.
Claims (5)
1. A multi-functional window washing and wiping device, comprising:
a device body, in an interior thereof is disposed a toothed gear assembly comprising a plurality of toothed gears for allowing a cleaning tool such as a brush, a sponge or a piece of cloth to be disposed thereon; the toothed gear assembly is meshed with a vortex rod, whose two ends are respectively pivotally connected to wheels protruding and exposed on two sides of the device body; tube bodies are respectively connected above the device body, so that when moving the device body to rotate the wheels, the vortex rod is driven to drive the entire toothed gear assembly, which rotates the cleaning tool disposed on the toothed gear assembly;
a retractable rod, a bottom end thereof is pivotally connected to the device body, and on a top end thereof is disposed a handle: the tube bodies disposed above the device body are fixed appropriately on the retractable rod and are pulled out along the retractable rod for connecting to detergent and water; and
when using the device, input detergent and water via the tube bodies and release the detergent and water through the cleaning tool below the device body; and hold the retractable rod, place the device body on a glass window, and move the device body along the glass window; the purpose of washing glass windows in buildings or cleaning floor is achieved by rolling the cleaning tool by driving the toothed gear assembly via the wheels.

A multi-functional window washing and wiping device of claim 1 , wherein the toothed gear assembly comprises at least a transmission gear meshed with the vortex rod, two driven gears meshed with the transmission gear, and two rotating discs fixedly disposed on the two driven gears for allowing a cleaning tool such as a brush or a sponge to be disposed on the two rotating discs.
3. A multi-functional window washing and wiping device of claim 2 , wherein through holes going through a top of the device body are respectively disposed at centers of the two driven gears and two rotating discs to be respectively connected with the tube bodies for inputting detergent and water.
4. A multi-functional window washing and wiping device of claim 1 , wherein on a rear rim of the device body is disposed a protruding ear for pivotally connecting to the retractable rod, so that the retractable rod may swing at elevated and depressed angles.
5. A multi-functional window washing and wiping device of claim 2 , wherein above the device body is further disposed a motor and a transferring member; and by the rotating and switching of the transferring member, a transmission shaft of the motor is pivotally connected with the transmission gear, which is disengaged from the vortex rod so that the transmission gear is driven by the motor.
