- (1) Field of the Invention.
- (2) Description of Related Art including information disclosed under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98.
- The disclosure and prior art relates to capturing devices and more particularly pertains to a new capturing device for capturing hair clippings during a hair cut.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a glove that may be worn on a user's hand when the user is cutting hair. A flap is coupled to the glove and the flap may be wrapped around the user's wrist when the user wears the glove. A net is coupled to the glove and the net may capture hair clippings when the user is cutting hair thereby inhibiting the hair clippings from falling on a floor.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a hair capturing assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new capturing device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , thehair capturing assembly 10 generally comprises aglove 12. Auser 14 may wear theglove 12 when theuser 14 is cuttinghair 16. Theglove 12 has athumb 18, afinger 20 and abody 22. Each of thethumb 18 andfinger 20 extend forwardly from thebody 22. Theuser 14 may be a barber or the like. - The
body 22 has atop side 24, abottom side 26, a firstlateral side 28 and a distal edge 30 with respect to thethumb 18 andfinger 20. Thetop side 24 has a bottom surface 32 and the firstlateral side 28 is open. Thus, the user'smiddle finger 34,ring finger 36 andpinky finger 38 are exposed when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. Thetop side 24 of thebody 22 abuts atop 40 of the user'shand 42 and thebottom side 26 of thebody 22 abuts the user'spalm 44. Thus, thebody 22 substantially surrounds the user'shand 42 when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. - The user's
thumb 46 may be positioned in thethumb 18 when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. Thethumb 18 has afirst opening 48 extending therethrough. Thefirst opening 48 may have air pass therethrough thereby facilitating the user'sthumb 46 to be cooled when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. The user'sindex finger 50 may be positioned in thefinger 20 when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. Thefinger 20 has a plurality ofsecond openings 52 extending therethrough. Each of thesecond openings 52 may have air pass therethrough thereby facilitating the user'sindex finger 50 to be cooled when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. - A
flap 54 is coupled to theglove 12 and theflap 54 may be wrapped around the user'swrist 56 when theuser 14 wears theglove 12. Theflap 54 is coupled to thebottom side 26 of thebody 22 and theflap 54 extends away from the firstlateral side 28. Theflap 54 is aligned with the distal edge 30 of thebody 22. Theflap 54 has adistal edge 57 with respect to the firstlateral side 28 and theflap 54 has atop surface 58. Theflap 54 flares outwardly between the firstlateral side 28 and thedistal edge 57 of theflap 54. - A
first coupler 60 is coupled to theglove 12. Thefirst coupler 60 is positioned on thebody 22. Thefirst coupler 60 is positioned on the bottom surface 32 of thetop side 24. Thefirst coupler 60 is aligned with the firstlateral side 28. - A
second coupler 62 is coupled to theflap 54 and thesecond coupler 62 is complementary to thefirst coupler 60. Thus, the first 60 and second 62 couplers retain theflap 54 around the user'swrist 56. Thesecond coupler 62 is positioned on thetop surface 58 of theflap 54 and thesecond coupler 62 is aligned with thedistal edge 57 of theflap 54. Each of thefirst coupler 60 and thesecond coupler 62 may comprise a hook and loop fastener. - A
net 64 is coupled to theglove 12 and the net 64 may capturehair clippings 66 when theuser 14 is cuttinghair 16. Thus, thehair clippings 66 are inhibited from falling on a floor or the like. Thenet 64 extends between thethumb 18 and thefinger 20 on theglove 12. Thenet 64 has anedge 68 extending between thethumb 18 and thefinger 20. Theedge 68 may be comprised of a compressible material. Thus, theedge 68 is inhibited from irritating skin of a person getting a hair cut. - In use, the
glove 12 is worn when theuser 14 is cuttinghair 16. Theglove 12 is positioned against the forehead of a person getting a hair cut. Thethumb 18 andfinger 20 are urged apart to stretch the net 64 between thethumb 18 andfinger 20. The net 64 is positioned on person's forehead to capture thehair clippings 66 as the person's hair is cut. Thus, thehair clippings 66 are inhibited from getting on the person's face during the hair cut. Theglove 12 is removed when the hair cut is finished and thehair clippings 66 are washed from theglove 12. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
