Abstract

The Easy Facelift beauty accessory is an invention that provides for a self-applied apparatus to tighten facial skin, and is a non-intrusive method of a facelift. The accessory is an assembly utilizing two snap clips, commonly used to attach hair extensions, connected by an elastic cord.
The assembly is applied by connecting one clip to the hair on one side of the users head, stretching the elastic across the back of the head, and attaching the second clip to the hair on the opposite side of the head. The clips and elastic can be concealed by combing hair over them.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a self applied beauty applications and, more particularly, to simulating the effects of cosmetic surgery without invasive procedures or treatments.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The billions of dollars generated by beauty products and cosmetic services industries are an obvious testament to the importance of a need for facial enhancement felt by most women. However, not all women can afford those treatments, or are afraid that the end result, may not turn out as expected. Easy Facelift is a low cost alternative which allows a user to experience the effects of cosmetic surgery by self-applying a device that can be used to smooth areas of the facial skin, without the permanent risks associated with invasive, non-reversible, high-cost surgery, or esthetic procedures such as botox, restylane, radisse, or juvederm voluma. While the product is in use, the user can enjoy a similar effect or look that other treatments afford.
  • The device is also intended for use by cosmetic surgeons and aesthetician in order to give their clients a actual preview of what they will look like after a surgical procedure or treatment.
  • Easy Facelift also serves professional uses that require slight facial skin alterations for clients involved in acting, photography, make-up artistry, and television.
  • For older women on a budget, attempting to re-enter the workforce amidst youthful appearing competition, Easy Facelift is a low cost alternative to gain a higher degree of self-esteem in their appearance.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an assembly consisting of a single thin transparent elastic band and two hair extension snap clips. When a clip is attached to the hair, close to the scalp, and the other clip is stretched, positioned, and attached to the opposite side of the head, it serves to tighten areas of the facial skin creating a smoother, younger appearance.
  • It is the object of the invention to provide a non-surgical, non-invasive, facelift alternative.
  • It is also the object of the invention to provide a simple, low-cost product that allows women to enhance their appearance for temporary occasions or all-day use.
  • It would further be advantageous to provide a method for professional cosmetic surgeons, aestheticians, photographers, and make-up artists, to allow a variety of clients to preview an improved appearance.

  • FIG. 5 is a top perspective view of a FIG. 5 shows two versions of the product—with varied cord lengths;
  • FIG. 6 is a top detail view of a FIG. 6 is a conceptual redesign of the snap clip design currently used in the product;
  • FIG. 7 is a top plan view of a FIG. 7 includes the inventors notes at the time of the original design, and also includes possible alternative product components;

  • Since other modifications and changes varied to fit particular operating requirements and environments will be apparent to those skilled in the art, the invention is not considered limited to the example chosen for purposes of disclosure, and covers all changes and modifications which do not constitute departures from the true spirit and scope of this invention.
  • Having thus described the invention, what is desired to be protected by Letters Patent is presented in the subsequently appended claims.

Claims (4)

What is claimed is:
1. A beauty accessory to be worn underneath the hair, across the sides and back of the head, in order to tighten facial and neck skin of the user, including:
a. a single transparent or colored elastic cord of fixed or variable lengths;
b. a single transparent or colored elastic cord of fixed or variable thicknesses;
c. two snap-type hair extension clips, of the type with holes in each end;
d. a light metal crimp used to bind the ends of the elastic cord, forming a single loop once inserted through the holes in the ends of the clips;
e. means for securing said cord across the back of the head of a user of the accessory when the accessory is in use whereby said accessory causes the skin about the face or neck to be pulled back and tightened.
2. The accessory of claim 1 wherein an elastic cord is affixed through the ends of the clips.
3. The accessory of claim 1 consisting of a pair of snap-type hair extension clips connected by a single elastic cord through a single hole in each end of each clip.
4. The accessory of claim 1 consisting of a pair of hair extension snap-type clips and elastic cord assembly wherein the first snap clip is attached to the hair on either side of the scalp, stretched across to another position of the scalp, and wherein the second snap-type clip is attached to the hair on the opposite side of the head.
