FIG. 15 is a schematic front view of still another alternate form of the hair fastening device according to the present invention. -
FIG. 16 is a schematic front view of still another alternate form of the hair fastening device according to the present invention. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , ahair fastening device 1 in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention is shown comprising asupport 11 for holding by a user's hand, a plurality ofteeth 12 perpendicularly extended from thesupport 11 in a parallel manner for separating strands of hair, a plurality ofarched leaf springs 13 each attached to arespective tooth 12 and having ananti-slip portion 14, and a plurality ofanti-slip elements 15 each attached to arespective tooth 12 in proximity to theanti-slip portion 14 of onearched leaf spring 13. According to this embodiment, theanti-slip elements 15 have a straightly extended wave-like shape, and theanti-slip portion 14 of eacharched leaf spring 13 has a wave-like configuration. By means of the aforesaid design, thehair fastening device 1 is suitable for both thick and thin hair. Further, thesupport 11 can be made in any of a variety of shapes suitable for the holding of the hand. Theteeth 12 are preferably formed integral with thesupport 11. Theteeth 12 and theleaf springs 13 are made of a springy material. Eachleaf spring 13 and the adjacent straightly extended wave-likeanti-slip elements 15 define therebetween asmall gap 121 for clasping hair. - Referring to
FIG. 1 again, the wave-likeanti-slip portion 14 of eacharched leaf spring 13 is kept in proximity with the adjacent wave-likeanti-slip element 15. During a use of thehair fastening device 1, a part of hair passes through thespace 122 between each twoadjacent teeth 12 around thesupport 11 and the other part of hair is held in thegap 121 between theanti-slip portion 14 of eacharched leaf spring 13 and the adjacent wave-likeanti-slip element 15. - Referring to
FIG. 2 andFIG. 1 again, thesupport 11 can be made in the shape of an arched bar as shown inFIG. 1 , or the shape of a straight bar as shown inFIG. 2 . -
FIGS. 3˜5 , thehair fastening device 1 can be made having only thearched leaf springs 13 without the aforesaid wave-likeanti-slip elements 15. - Referring to
FIGS. 6˜8 , thearched leaf springs 13 of thehair fastening device 1 according to this alternate form are smoothly arched without any wave-like shape. Further, each wave-likeanti-slip element 15 can be situated on a selected area or a number of selected areas of arespective tooth 12. - Referring to
FIG. 9 , thehair fastening device 1 according to this embodiment is substantially similar to that shown inFIG. 1 with the exception that theanti-slip elements 15 and theanti-slip portions 14 of thearched leaf springs 13 are made having a serrated configuration. -
FIG. 10 shows still another alternate form of thehair fastening device 1. This embodiment is substantially similar to that shown inFIG. 9 with exception of the shape of the serrated configurations of theanti-slip elements 15 and theanti-slip portions 14 of thearched leaf springs 13. - Referring to
