Definitions

  • the invention concerns knitted products like briefs, panties and mainly pantie-stockings/tights, closed in the crotch area by opposite extra courses, extending to the crotch.
  • the aim of the invention is to produce such a knitted product like trousers, briefs, knickers, but mainly tights that will be shaped in the best possible way in the body part but it will have a seamless gore in the crotch area similar to classic shape layout.
  • the aim is for the product to be possibly knitted on flat two-bed knitting machines as well as on special double-cylinder knitting machines.
  • This can be reached to a significant extent by a knitted product closed in the crotch by opposite extra courses, extending to the crotch, according to this invention based mainly on the fact that at least one of the extra courses consists of a part that extends at first and then narrows in the direction of the top.
  • the extra courses on the body part to consist of a part that extends at first and then narrows in the direction of the top.
  • the extra courses on the leg parts consist of a part that extends at first and then narrows in the direction of the top.
  • a simple way of knitting a knitted product of the type of briefs, knickers, but mainly tights, that is closed in the crotch area by at least one pair of opposite extra courses, extending to the crotch, includes mainly the fact that the extra courses are knitted reverse run, while in case of extra courses on leg parts—in the extending part—the edge links knit together with the links of the last continuous line of the leg part, while in case of extra courses on the body part, the edge links in the extending part knit together with the links of the first continuous line of the body part.
  • the main advantage of the knitted product according to the invention is the fact that if the extra course is created—in the direction of outcome from the body part respectively from leg parts—from the extending part at first and only then from the narrowing part, it is very easy to make the crotch in the elliptical prolonged shape, which is a natural shape in fact and its appearance corresponds with the sewn-in gore, created using the classic technology.
  • FIG. 1 view of the crotch of tights according to the current state of the art in
  • FIG. 2 where the crotch area is closed by four extra courses extending from the sitting part as well as from the legs part.
  • FIG. 3 shows a view of the crotch area of tights with extra courses extending from the sitting part and leg parts and created according to the invention.
  • FIG. 4 also shows the view of the crotch area of tights according to the invention, but—for better clearness—the individual extra courses extending from the sitting part and the leg part are mutually separated.
  • FIG. 5 shows the axonometric view of tights, where—for clearness improvement—there are separated the parts for legs with extending extra courses created according to the invention from the part for sitting, consisting of extending extra courses created according to the invention.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 show the state of the art.
  • FIG. 1 shows the plan view of the crotch area of classic tights with the gore 4 , that is through the seam 5 inserted between part 1 for the right leg and part 2 for the left leg.
  • FIG. 1 shows the plan view of the crotch area of classic tights with the gore 4 , that is through the seam 5 inserted between part 1 for the right leg and part 2 for the left leg.
  • FIG. 2 schematically shows the plan view of the crotch in case that the gore 6 is created using four extra courses 6 . 1 , 6 . 2 , 6 . 3 , 6 . 4 , while extra course 6 . 1 runs from part 1 for the right leg, extra course 6 . 2 from part 2 for the left leg and extra courses 6 . 3 and 6 . 4 run form the body part 3 and all the four extra courses 6 . 1 , 6 . 2 , 6 . 3 a 6 . 4 on parts 1 and 2 for legs and on the body part 3 they are inter-knitted.
  • FIG. 3 shows the plan view of the crotch area of the knitted products of the type of briefs, knickers, but mainly tights, where the crotch is closed through four extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 and 7 . 4 shaped according to the invention.
  • the gore 7 created by the four extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 and 7 . 4 has a natural ellipse shape in fact.
  • the same product is shown even in FIG. 4 but with separated parts 1 and 2 for legs, the body part 3 and individual extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 .
  • extra course 7 . 1 running from, the part 1 for the right leg consists at first of the extending part 7 . 1 A, continued by the narrowing part 7 . 1 B, finished by the top V 1 .
  • extra course 7 . 2 running from the part 2 for the left leg consists at first of the extending part 7 . 2 A continued by the narrowing part 7 . 2 B finished by the top V 2 .
  • Tops V 1 and V 2 are oriented opposite to each other, while extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 are made in mirror image.
  • extra courses 7 . 3 and 7 . 4 running from the body part 3 there are also created.
  • Tops V 3 , V 4 are oriented opposite to each other, while extra courses 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 are made in mirror image as well. They start with the extending parts 7 . 3 A, 7 . 4 A followed by narrowing parts 7 . 3 B and 7 . 4 B finishing in tops V 3 and V 4 .
  • FIG. 5 shows the same product as FIG. 4 , but in axonometric display. So it can be seen in FIG. 5 that if fore example extra course 7 . 1 running for the part 1 for the right leg starts with the extending part 7 . 1 A, then the newly developed edge links H. 1 A and H. 1 B are gradually knitted into the last continuous line 1 .
  • the edge links H. 3 A, H. 3 B and H. 4 A, H. 4 B are knitted into the first continuous line 3 . 2 of the body part 3 .
  • the result is the gore 7 created of extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 , that are created at first by extending parts 7 . 1 A, 7 . 2 A, 7 . 3 A, 7 . 4 A and consequently by narrowing parts 7 . 1 B, 7 . 2 B, 7 . 3 B, 7 . 4 B—the shape is oval, in fact elliptical.
  • the quality level can be affected by the extent of extension of edge links H. 1 A, H. 1 B, H. 2 A, H. 2 B, H. 3 A, H. 3 B, H. 4 A and H. 4 B.
  • the sample version according to FIGS. 3 and 4 includes oppositely orientated pairs of extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 , created in mirror image and the individual extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 are symmetrical. But it is not a condition.
  • extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 on parts 1 , 2 for legs can be created asymmetrically—i.e. the left side of the extra course 7 . 1 for the left leg in a different way from the right part and extra course 7 . 2 of the part 2 for the right leg in mirror image to the extra course 7 . 1 of the part 1 for the left leg.
  • Shaping of the gore 7 can be affected in such a way that some extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 , for example extra courses 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 on the body part 3 are with the extended part 7 . 3 A, 7 . 4 A, or there are used only three of the extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 . For example one extra course 7 . 1 on the body part 3 and extra courses 7 . 1 a 7 . 2 on parts 2 , 3 for the legs.
  • the above stated product is knitted on a special two-roller knitting machine, analogically with the product with closed gore 6 of simple extra courses, while in given case the extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , 7 . 3 , 7 . 4 are knitted by reverse run, while in case of extra courses 7 . 1 , 7 . 2 , on parts 1 , 2 for legs, the edge links H. 1 A, H. 1 B, H. 2 A, H. 2 B in the extending part are knitted together with the links of the last continuous line 1 . 2 , 2 . 2 of the part 1 , 2 for legs, while in case of extra courses on the body part 3 there are knitted together the edge links H. 3 A, H. 3 B, H. 4 A, H. 4 B to the first continuous line 3 . 2 of the body part 3 .
  • the main advantage of knitted products like of the type of briefs, knickers, but mainly tights, that is closed in the crotch area but at least one pair of opposite extra courses running to the crotch, is the fact that the gore created by extra courses shaped according to the invention is of natural shape and practically identical with classic sawn-in gore, but the knitted product is in the crotch area and the sitting area free of any seams.
  • the invention is designed for knitting of products of the type of briefs, knickers, trousers, but mainly tights.
