Claims This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in sleeve board bracketsupports for ironing boards. i

The primary. object of the invention is'toIpro- 6 vide a sleeve board attachment for ironing boards wherein a novel form of bracket. support is;interposed between-the ironing and sleeve boards with the latter restrained from movements relative to the ironing board'when extended for use and retractediinto aninoperativ position. In a deviceof theclass described, an ironing board, a 'sleeve board attachmenttherefor, a bracket support between the ironing and sleeve boards including pairs of arms with an arm of each pair respectively secured to the ironing and sleeve boards, a pin and slot pivotal connection between each pair of arms, the arms carried by the ironing board having a pair of notched seats in their respective upper and lower edges and a lug carried by each arm on the sleeve board for selective reception in the notched seats for the support of the sleeve board in extended operative position laterally of the ironing board or in retracted position beneath the ironing board, the connection between the sleeve board and bracket arms attached thereto including a bar connecting the adjacent ends of the bracket arms and an inverted substantially U-shaped strap interposed between the bar and sleeve board to elevate the latter relative to the bracket arms and ironing board.

In a device of the character described, a sleeve board adapted for positioning beneath an ironing board when out of use and exposed relative to the board when in use, an adjustable bracket connection between the underside of the ironing board and sleeve board including cooperating bracket arms respectively carried by the two boards, said bracket arms overlapping and the bracket arm carried by the sleeve board adapted to be immovably supported on the other bracket arm in reversely extending directions in the same horizontal plane.

9. In a device of the character described, a

sleeve board adapted for positioning beneath an ironing board when out of use and exposed relative to the board when in use, an adjustable bracket connection between the underside of the ironing board and sleeve board including cooperating bracket arms respectively carried by the two boards, said bracket arms overlapping and the bracket arm carried by the sleeve board adapted to be immovably supported on the other bracket arm in reversely extending directions in the same horizontal plane, the connection between the bracket arms including a translatable pivotal connection, one of the bracket arms having a pair of edge opening notches respectively in the upper and lower edges and at opposite sides of the pivotal connection and a lug on the other bracket arm for selective supporting reception in the notches.

10. In a device of the class described, an ironing board, a sleeve board attachment therefor, a bracket support between the ironing and sleeve boards including pairs of arms with an arm of each pair respectively secured to the ironing and sleeve boards, an inverted substantially U-shaped strap carried by the sleeve board, an apertured bar connecting the arms associated with the sleeve board and a pivotal hook and wedge connection between the legs of the strap and the apertured bar.
