Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an improved shape of a headwear, and more particularly, to an improved headwear manufactured to improve a productivity according to shorten a process time for manufacturing the headwear and prevent a wrinkle due to a sewing operation by adhering directly a crown part, a main body of the headwear without an existing sewing operation.
  • a headwear refers a cap style headwear and is constructed with a crown part or a main body of the headwear which is put on a user's head, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part to protect a user's face from a sunlight, a size adjusting device attached to a rear bottom portion of the crown part to adjust a size of the headwear to a size of the user's head and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part to absorb sweat on the user's head.
  • the crown part, the visor part, the size adjusting device and the headband which construct the headwear are generally attached to each other by a sewing operation;
  • the crown part is composed of a plurality of panels and each of the panels are conventionally connected by a sewing operation and, between each of the inner panels of the crown part, an elongate thin fabric, which is called as a bias tape, covers the sewing portion connecting between the panels for sewing a margin and a sewing operation is carried out so that the bias tape covers and connects between each of the panels.
  • a headwear mainly constructed with a crown part, a main body of the headwear which is composed of a plurality of panels, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part, in which the panels of the crown part are connected to each other not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive tape or an adhesive sheet.
  • FIG. 1 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to an embodiment of the present invention
  • FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 1 ;
  • FIG. 3 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to another embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line B-B of FIG. 3 .
  • FIG. 1 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to an embodiment of the present invention and FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 1 .
  • a headwear according to the present invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is constructed with a crown part 1 , a main body of the headwear, a visor part 2 attached to a front lower portion of the crown part 1 and a headband 3 attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part 1 .
  • Panels 5 and 6 of the crown part 1 are connected to each other by a first sewing operation and thus a single sewing line 7 is shown between the panels 5 and 6 and an adhesive tape 4 is adhered for sewing a margin between panels within the crown part 1 .
  • the adhesive tape 4 is of same shape as an adhesive tape 8 shown in a sectional view taken along line A-A and the adhesive tapes 4 and 8 have adhesive strength at an inside of the adhesive tape which meets to the panels of the crown part and thus adhered to between the panels of the crown part during subject to heat and press working.
  • a conventional crown part is manufactured by covering the connecting portion of the panels using a bias tape and sewing both side portions of the bias tape for sewing a margin between the connecting portion of the panels of the crown part and whereby a wrinkle occurs in inside and outside portions of the crown part at the sewed portion of the bias tape which is a connected portion.
  • a cap style headwear is described in this embodiment, but the present invention is applicable to all shapes of headwear having a crown part manufactured with a plurality of panels such as a sun visor and a hat etc.
  • FIG. 3 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to another embodiment of the present invention and FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line B-B of FIG. 3 .
  • a headwear according to another embodiment of the present invention shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is, likewise to the above embodiment, constructed with a crown part 9 or a main body of the headwear, a visor part 10 attached to a front lower portion of the crown part 9 and a headband 11 attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part 9 .
  • Connecting between panels constructing the crown part 9 is made not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive method; the panels 13 and 14 are overlapped in a predetermined width, a adhesive sheet 15 is inserted in between the overlapped portions of the panels 13 and 14 and the overlapped portions of the panels 13 and 14 are adhered to each other during subject to heat and press working.
  • This embodiment is manufactured so that the panels are connected by the adhesive sheet without sewing operation between the panels and thus a boundary line 4 which is the overlapped portion of the panels within the crown part is shown.
  • An effect of this embodiment is identical to the effect of the above mentioned embodiment.
  • a cap style headwear is described in this embodiment, but the present invention is applicable to all shapes of headwear having a crown part manufactured with a plurality of panels such as a sun visor and a hat etc.
  • the present invention is mainly constructed with a crown part, a main body of the headwear which is composed of a plurality of panels, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part, in which the panels of the crown part are connected to each other not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive tape or an adhesive sheet, and the headwear according to the present invention has effects that a wrinkle, which occurred frequently in panels of a crown part of a headwear manufactured by an existing sewing operation, does not occur and a productivity is improved as a process time by the existing sewing operation is shortened.
