Abstract
The present invention relates to an improved shape of a headwear, and more particularly, to an improved headwear manufactured to improve a productivity according to shorten a process time for manufacturing the headwear and prevent a wrinkle due to a sewing operation by adhering directly a crown part, a main body of the headwear without an existing sewing operation.
The headwear according to the present invention is mainly constructed with a crown part, a main body of the headwear which is composed of a plurality of panels, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part, in which the panels of the crown part are connected to each other not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive tape or an adhesive sheet.
Description
- 1. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to an improved shape of a headwear, and more particularly, to an improved headwear manufactured to improve a productivity according to shorten a process time for manufacturing the headwear and prevent a wrinkle due to a sewing operation by adhering directly a crown part, a main body of the headwear without an existing sewing operation.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- In general, a headwear refers a cap style headwear and is constructed with a crown part or a main body of the headwear which is put on a user's head, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part to protect a user's face from a sunlight, a size adjusting device attached to a rear bottom portion of the crown part to adjust a size of the headwear to a size of the user's head and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part to absorb sweat on the user's head. The crown part, the visor part, the size adjusting device and the headband which construct the headwear are generally attached to each other by a sewing operation; the crown part is composed of a plurality of panels and each of the panels are conventionally connected by a sewing operation and, between each of the inner panels of the crown part, an elongate thin fabric, which is called as a bias tape, covers the sewing portion connecting between the panels for sewing a margin and a sewing operation is carried out so that the bias tape covers and connects between each of the panels.
- However, there was a problem that a wrinkle occurs in a connecting portion between panels of the crown part as connecting between the panels of the crown part and connecting the bias tape by the sewing operation above described.
- Accordingly, it is an aspect of the present invention to prevent a wrinkle which occurs between panels of a crown part of a headwear. It is another aspect of the present invention to shorten significantly a process time by a sewing operation and thus improve a productivity by not using a sewing method but using an adhesive method in manufacturing of a crown part of a headwear and connecting of a bias tape.
- The foregoing and/or other aspects of the present invention can be achieved by providing a headwear mainly constructed with a crown part, a main body of the headwear which is composed of a plurality of panels, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part, in which the panels of the crown part are connected to each other not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive tape or an adhesive sheet.
- The above and/or other aspects and advantages of the prevent invention will become apparent and more readily appreciated from the following description of the exemplary embodiments, taken in conjunction with the accompany drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to an embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to another embodiment of the present invention; and -
FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line B-B ofFIG. 3 . - Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below so as to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.
-
FIG. 1 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to an embodiment of the present invention andFIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A ofFIG. 1 . A headwear according to the present invention shown inFIGS. 1 and 2 is constructed with a crown part 1, a main body of the headwear, avisor part 2 attached to a front lower portion of the crown part 1 and aheadband 3 attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part 1.Panels single sewing line 7 is shown between thepanels adhesive tape 8 shown in a sectional view taken along line A-A and theadhesive tapes 4 and 8 have adhesive strength at an inside of the adhesive tape which meets to the panels of the crown part and thus adhered to between the panels of the crown part during subject to heat and press working. A conventional crown part is manufactured by covering the connecting portion of the panels using a bias tape and sewing both side portions of the bias tape for sewing a margin between the connecting portion of the panels of the crown part and whereby a wrinkle occurs in inside and outside portions of the crown part at the sewed portion of the bias tape which is a connected portion. However, there are advantages that by adhering between the panels of the crown part by the adhesive method as described above, the wrinkle does not occur any more in the connecting portion between the panels of the crown part and a working productivity is more improved as a process time according to the existing sewing operation is significantly shortened. In addition, a cap style headwear is described in this embodiment, but the present invention is applicable to all shapes of headwear having a crown part manufactured with a plurality of panels such as a sun visor and a hat etc. -
FIG. 3 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to another embodiment of the present invention andFIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line B-B ofFIG. 3 . A headwear according to another embodiment of the present invention shown inFIGS. 3 and 4 is, likewise to the above embodiment, constructed with acrown part 9 or a main body of the headwear, avisor part 10 attached to a front lower portion of thecrown part 9 and aheadband 11 attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of thecrown part 9. Connecting between panels constructing thecrown part 9 is made not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive method; thepanels adhesive sheet 15 is inserted in between the overlapped portions of thepanels panels - The present invention is mainly constructed with a crown part, a main body of the headwear which is composed of a plurality of panels, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part and a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part, in which the panels of the crown part are connected to each other not by an existing sewing operation but by an adhesive tape or an adhesive sheet, and the headwear according to the present invention has effects that a wrinkle, which occurred frequently in panels of a crown part of a headwear manufactured by an existing sewing operation, does not occur and a productivity is improved as a process time by the existing sewing operation is shortened.
- Although a few exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
