  • a tent forms a dome shape having a certain volume made by assembling waterproof fabric and a plurality of tent poles, so that it provides a user with a space in which the user can temporarily reside out of doors during the mountain climbing or camping.
  • a general tent forms a dome shape having a certain volume made by allowing a main body 1 comprised of waterproof fabric to be expanded in all directions by a plurality of tent poles 2 having flexibility and rigidity.
  • the tent pole is inserted into sleeves 2 formed to extend along an outer ridgeline of the main body 1 or a plurality of clips (not shown) formed along an outer ridgeline of the main body 1 at an interval.
  • both ends of the tent poles are respectively fixed at edges of a lower portion of the main body 1 opposing to each other under state that the tent poles are bended into an arch shape, the tent poles stretch the main body 1 in all directions so that the main body is tightly unfolded by an elastic restoring force.
  • the tent since the tent has generally poor ventilation ability due to the structure thereof, when it is used out of doors, it gets damp in the tent at night (dew condensation phenomenon) and a temperature is rapidly increased in the tent during the daytime.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a tent having improved windproof and ventilation abilities.
  • a tent comprising at least one main pole fixed to a ground with being bended into an arch shape so as to constitute a frame of the tent, a main body made of waterproof fabric and expanded by the main pole to form a dome shape having a certain volume, and a wind screen provided to the highest top portion of the main body so as to extend while approximately forming a horizontality with the ground and capable of resisting wind flowing along an outer surface of the main body.
  • the tent of the invention even when a strong wind blows, it is possible to maintain an original shape of the tent without any deformation because a side of the tent is raised due to the wind screen.
  • the wind screen may be extended into front and rear of the main pole to form a tunnel shape.
  • the wind screen may comprise at least one sub-pole provided to the highest top portion of the main pole so as to intersect the main pole while approximately forming a horizontality with the ground, and screen fabric having both ends to be fixed to the outer surface of the main body and protruding from the outer surface of the main body into the tunnel shape when a central portion of the screen fabric is stretched by the sub-pole.
  • the tent may further comprise an upper ventilation window formed at a lower side of the wind screen of an upper portion of the main body and a lower ventilation window formed at a lower portion of the main body.
  • the air in the main body flows vertically from the lower ventilation window toward the upper ventilation window, thereby ventilating the inside of the tent.
  • the air flows vertically in the tent it is possible to obtain a stack effect.
  • a tent comprising at least one main pole fixed to a ground with being bended into an arch shape so as to constitute a frame of the tent; a main body comprised of waterproof fabric and expanded by the main pole to form a dome shape having a predetermined volume; a fly covering the main body; and a wind screen provided to the highest top portion of the fly so as to extend while approximately forming a horizontality with the ground and capable of resisting wind flowing along an outer surface of the fly.

  • the sub-pole 31 having a radius of curvature larger than that of the outer surface of the main body 10 is bended to stretch the screen fabric 32 , so that the wind screen 30 forms the tunnel shape extending into the front and rear of the main pole 21 to be parallel to the ground at the highest top of the main body 10 .
  • the tent according to the present invention has an excellent windproof ability allowing the tent not to be easily deformed even when a strong wind blows.
  • upper and lower portions of the front side 13 of the main body 10 are formed with an upper ventilation window 41 and a lower ventilation window 42 for ventilating an inside of the tent, respectively.
  • the upper ventilation window 41 is formed at the upper portion of the main body in the wind screen 30 . Since the wind screen 30 serves as an awning, there is no worry that rainwater flows in the tent via the upper ventilation window 41 .
  • the lower ventilation window 42 is formed perpendicularly to the ground at a lower inside of the front side 13 of the main body. By doing so, it is possible to prevent the rainwater from flowing in the tent via the lower ventilation window 42 .
  • the front side 13 of the main body is set up such that a lower end thereof is spaced from the ground at an interval. Thereby, the outside air can flow in the tent through the lower ventilation window 42 via a space formed between the front side 13 of the main body and the ground.
  • the outside air flows in the main body 10 through the lower ventilation window 42 and the air in the main body 10 is discharged to the exterior through the upper ventilation window 41 .
  • the tent of the present invention since the air flows vertically from the lower ventilation window 42 toward the upper ventilation window 41 , a stack effect is expressed, so that good ventilation ability can be obtained.
  • the ventilation windows 41 , 42 formed at the front side 13 of the main body 10 only.
  • the invention is not limited thereto. That is, the ventilation windows may be formed at upper and lower portions of the rear side 14 of the main body 10 and both at the front side 13 and the rear side 14 .
  • the structure of the wind screen 30 is not limited thereto and various modifications thereof can be made.
  • FIG. 5 shows a tent according to the second embodiment of the invention.
  • the tent according to this embodiment has the main pole 21 transversely crossing over the main body 10 of the tent, and a pair of sub-poles 31 equipped side by side at an interval to the highest top portion of the main pole 21 .
  • the screen fabric 32 is upwardly stretched by the pair of sub-poles 31 , so that the wind screen 30 forms a tunnel shape having a width larger than that of the wind screen 30 shown in FIG. 3 .
  • the tent is formed with a ventilation window 43 at an upper portion of the rear side 14 of the main body 10 and an entrance 15 having a size over a total area at the front side 13 , so that it is possible to obtain a better ventilation ability than the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 .
  • FIGS. 6 and 7 show a tent according to the third embodiment of the invention.
  • the tent comprises a fly 40 to be set up over the main body 10 .
  • the main poles 21 , 22 constitute a frame of the main body 10 and support the fly 40 .
  • the wind screen 30 is formed on the top of the fly 40 .
  • the screen fabric 32 formed on the highest top portion of the fly 40 is supported by the sub-pole 31 , so that the wind screen 30 forms a tunnel shape.
