The object of the invention is to remove this inconvenience. According to the invention the a way, that flaps remain at the longitudinal and transverse sides or at least at the longitudinal sides of the openings. Subsequently said flaps are turned to one side of the sheet and flattened perforation of the openings is carried out in such down closely to this side, and any harm is excluded. The openings thus produced will present smooth and round edges.
In the annexed drawing Fig. 1 shows some openings, according to the invention, having flaps turned to the sheet at the longitudinal sides.

Fig. 3 is a cross-section of an enlarged scale 10 of an opening according to the invention.
Referring to the'drawing, l is a part of a queenexcluder, 2 are openings, produced according to the invention, and 3 are the flaps.
I claim:
15 A queen excluder formed of sheet metal having a plurality of openings of greater length than width, one or more sides of the openings being folded back to provide a flange with curving surface throughout its length and. width, said 20 flange being in direct contact with the connecting member between the openings.
