MERCHANDISING DISPLAY FIXTURE FOR SUCKERS AND OTHER MERCHANDISE Filed Oct. 23, 1933 Patented May 7, 1935 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE Emerson W. Stein, Sea Breeze, N. Y., assignor of one-half to Elmer E. Sharp, Fishers, N. Y.
Application October 23, 1933, Serial No. 694,790-
2 Claims.
This invention relates to an improved merchandising display fixture for suckersand other merchandise.
In displaying suckers (a piece of candy in 5 which is inserted a stick or handle by which to hold it) it is desirable that a large number of them be displayed at one time and in such a manner that they may be quickly and easily removed from the display fixture. The present invention has for its object to provide a fixture in which a large number of suckers or other merchandise may be displayed, the same consisting of a fixture having two or more sheets of mesh wire or other perforated material placed in such parallel or other relationship to each other that the sticks or handles of the suckers or other merchandise may be inserted at any angle desired thru the perforations in the sheets, thereby holding the suckers or other merchandise dis played at any angle desired and in such a manner that they may be quickly and easily removed from the fixture.
With these and other ends in view which will readily appear as the nature of the invention is better understood the same consists in the improved construction, novel arrangement and combination of parts which will be hereinafter fully described and particularly pointed out in the claims.
In the accompanying drawing has been illustrated a simple and preferred form of the invention, it being however understood that no limitations are necessarily made to the precise structural details therein exhibited; but that changes, alterations, and modifications within the scope of the claims may be resorted to when desired.
In the drawing,
Figure 1 is a top view of another form of the fixture.
Figure 2 is a side view of the same.
Corresponding parts in the several figures are denoted by like characters of reference.
The sticks or handles of the suckers or other merchandise are inserted thru any desired perforations in either of the sheets and on into the desired perforations in the other sheet, thereby holding the suckers or other merchandise displayed at any angle desired and in such a manner that it can quickly and easily be removed from the fixture.
In Figure 1 is shown atop View of another form of the fixture, A being a wood base to which two sheets of mesh wire B are attached and from which they extend upward in parallel relationship to each other to the top suspension loop D Figure 2 is a side view of Figure 1.
It will be understood that the form of the device herein shown and described is merely illustrative of the principle of the invention which consists in the formation of a fixture so constituted as to provide a large number of perforations in two or more sheets of material which are arranged in such parallel or other relationship to each other that they allow the sticks or handles of the suckers or other merchandise to be inserted at any angle desired thru the perforations in the outer sheet and thru on into the perforations in the other sheet or sheets thereby holding the suckers or other merchandise displayed at any angle desired and in such a manner that they may be quickly and easily removed from the fixture.
It will be understood that the perforations in the mesh wire or other material used may be of any size desired, and also that the wire may be of any gage desired. The dimensions and shape of the fixture may also be of any size and shape desired.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new, is
1. A merchandising display fixture for suckers consisting of a structure having two concentric mesh wire cylinders erected vertically upon a suitable horizontal block base.
2. In a sucker display stand, two hollow upright bodies of similar shape and difierent size including side walls, the smaller body being within the larger, the side walls of each body having perforations therein whereby. the sticks of the suckers may be inserted thru perforations in the side wall of the outer body and on into perforations in the side wall of the inner body, the suckers thereby being partly supported by each of the bodies, the bodies being attached at their lower ends to a horizontal base.
