My invention relates to improvements in bath room furnishings, and the same has for its object the provision of simple, eflicient and inexpensive means whereby bath rooms equipped with old form or styles of nttings and fixtures may be modernized.

Further, said invention has for its object the provision of means which may. beinstalled as a unit to venclose and conceal the rough plumbing l0 including hot and cold water supply, soil and vent pipes, and at the same timeprovide means forl the installation of the fittings andl xtures required in a modern bath room. Further, said invention has for its object the provision of a casing in the form of'a panel which may be readily secured upon the wall of a bath room to hide the rough plumbing work,

and at the same time to provide means for receiving and partly supporting a lavatory, and

for accommodating almedicine cabinet, shelves,`

lights, etc.

Further, said invention has, for its object a casing or panel for the purposes speciiied which is readily adjustable soas to be iitted against or upon the'wall of roomsof different heights.

Further, said invention has for its object the provision of a casingl for the purposesspeciiied having means affording ready access to the plumbing-work, and parts or apparatus disposed within said casing and concealed therebyfor the purposes of inspection or'repairs. v

Other objects will in part be obvious and in part behereinafter described.

'Ihe inner sides of the pilaster portions lI'I, below the transverse member 31 are provided'with lirackets or guides 41 toreceive a removable shelf 8. `To iinish the lower edge of the panel I5 a base board 49 is secured to the sides and front of the pilaster portions I1 and to the front of the lower vof the old rough plumbing including supply, soil and vent pipes, as the same may be left in place and covered by the casing I6, .and that by making said casing in two telescoping parts it may be readily adjusted to t rooms of different heights and then secured in place to its adjusted position.

. Having thus described my said invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:v

1. A bath room unit comprising 'a casing adapted for securement to a wall; said casing including vertical marginal channel portions for4 receiving and enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, and a vertical, intermediate wall-portion uniting said channel portions.

2. A bath room unit comprising a 'casing adapted for securement to a wall;A said casing including vertical marginal channel portions for receiving and enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, and a vertical, intermediate vwall portion, having a recessed upper portion, uniting'said channel portions.

3. A bath room unit comprising a casing adapted for securement to a wall; said casing including vertical marginal channel portions foriI receiving and enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, avertical, intermediate wall portion, having a recessed upper portion,'uniting said channel portions, and a plurality of trans- 1 verse frame members in said recessed upper portion connecting said channel portions and dividing said recessed portion into a plurality of superposed compartments.

4. A bath room unit comprising a sheet metal casing adapted for securement to a wall; said casing including vertical marginal channel portions for receiving and enclosingthe water supply, soil and vent pipes, and a vertical inter- .casing for accommodating the pipes connecting the lavatory ttings with said supply, soil and vent pipes enclosed by said casing.

A bath room unit comprising a casing adaptedr for securement to a wall and enclose the water supply, soil and vent pipes, meansfor receiving and supporting a'lavatory upon said casing, means in said casing for accommodating the pipes connecting the lavatory iittingsI with said supply, soil andvent pipes enclosed by'said casing; said casing having an opening therein below the point of support of said lavatory affording access to said supply, soil and vent pipes, and a removable closure for sealing said opening.

A bath room unit comprising a casing adapted for securement to a wall and enclose the water supply, soil and vent pipes, said'casing including a flat lower portion, and hollow pilaster portions above said lower portion united by ay recessed intervening wall portion, means for receiving and supporting a lavatory upon said casing, at the ljunction of its lower portion with said pilaster portions, and means in said casing for accommodating the pipes connecting said lavatory ttings with said supply, soil and vent pipes enclosed by said casing.v 1

8. A bath room unit comprising a casing adapti ed for securement to a wall and enclose the water supply, soil andvent pipes, said casing including a flat lower portion, and hollow pilaster portions above said lower portion united by a recessed -intervening'wall portion, means lfor receiving and supportinga lavatory upon said casing, at the junction of its lower portion with said pilaster portions, andmeans in said casing for accommodating the pipes connecting said lavatory fittings with said supply, soil and vent pipes enclosed by said casing, an opening in said nat, lower portion, and a removable closure for said opening.

9. A bath room unit comprising a casing including a plurality of interflttingv parts adapted for securement to a wall and including vertical channel portions enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, means for receiving and supporting a lavatory upon said casing, and means in said casing for accommodating the pipes connecting said lavatory fittings with said supply, soil and vent'kpipes.

10.'Al bath room unit comprising a casing including a plurality of interiitting parts adapted for securement to a wall and including channel portions at its vertical sides enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, means lfor receiving a lavatory upon said casing intermediate said channel portions, means extending outwardly from the portion of said casing intermediate said channel portions for supporting the rear edge of the lavatory, and means in said casing for accommodating the pipes connecting said lavatory fittings with said supply, soil and vent pipes.`

A bath room unit comprising a casing adapted for securement to a wall and including a longitudinal recessedupper portion disposed intermediate marginal channel portions adapted to enclose the water supply, soil and vent pipes, a lower portion having its front face flush with the front faces of said channel portions, and a flange extending outwardly for supporting the rear edgeof a lavatory.

A bath room unit comprising, a casing adapted for securement'to a wall and including a longitudinal recessed upper portion disposed intermediate marginal channel portions adapted to enclose the .water supply, soil and vent pipes, a plurality of spaced transverse frame-members disposed in said longitudinal recessed portions having their front portions flush with the front walls of said channel portions and forming compartments, doors for said compartments; said casing including a lower portion having its front face iiush with the front faces of said channel portions, and a flange extending outwardly for supporting the rear edge of the lavatory.

A bath room unit `comprising a casing adapted for securement to a wall; said casing including vertical marginal channel portions for receiving and enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, a vertical, intermediate' wall portion having a recessed upper portion, uniting said channel portions, a plurality of transverse frame members in said recessed upper portion connecting said channel portions and dividing said recessed portion into a plurality of superposed compartments, and vertical partitions between certain of said transverse frame members, illuminating means disposed in said compartments, and

masking means concealing s aid illuminating mea'ns, and partially closing said compartments.

A bath room unit comprising a casing adapted for securement to a wall; said casing including vertical marginal channel portions for receiving and enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, avertical, intermediate wall portion having a, recessed upper portion, uniting said channel portions, a plurality of transverse frame members in said recessed upper portion connecting said channel portions and dividing said 'recessed portion into a plurality oi superposed compartments, and vertical frame members disposed between certain ofsaid transverse frame members serving to divide the space between said horizontal frame members into a plurality of compartments, means for partially covering the outer of said compartments, and illuminating means disposed in said outer compartments.

A bath room unit comprising a -casing adapted for securement to a wall; said casing including vertical marginal channel portions for t receiving and enclosing the water supply, soil and vent pipes, a vertical, intermediate wall portion having a recessed upper portion, uniting said channel portions, a plurality of transverse frame members in said recessed upper portion connecting said channel portions and dividing said recessed portion into a plurality of superposed compartments, and vertical frame members disposed between certain of said transverse frame members serving to divide the space between said horizontal frame members into a plurality of compartments, and cover members extending from the intermediate compartment, and partially covering the end compartments, and illuminating devices disposed in said side compartments and concealed by said cover members.
