Any suitable release means in the form of a push button of the like 40 may be provided for co-operation with the latch 20 in the lighter 16 whereby the lid 18 is released, and as these lighters have springs in their lids to retain the same in open position, the tube 26 with the contained cigarette will be positively maintained in the position shown in Figure 3.
It will be seen that herein is provided a simple yet eflicient combination cigarette case, dispenser and lighter which can be operated with one hand, the dispensed cigarette being in a position to be immediately placed between the lips of the user, and the lighting thereo't' being assured.
I am aware that many changes may be made and numerous details of construction varied throughout a wide range without departing from the principles of this invention, and I therefore do not purpose limiting the patent granted hereon otherwise than as necessitated by the prior art.
I claim as my invention:
1. An automatic combined cigarette container, dispenser, and lighter, the lighter cover comprising a spring-opened lid, and cigarette dispensing means pivotally at- J tached to said lid, said means comprising a 40 tube open at one side for the reception of a cigarette and a cross bar at the end of the tube for supporting the cigarette in dispensing position.
2. An automatic combined cigarette container, dispenser, and lighter, the lighter cover comprising a spring-opened lid, and cigarette dispensing means pivotally attached to said lid, said means comprising a tube open at one side for the reception of a cigarette and a cross bar at the end of the tube for supporting the cigarette in dispensing position, and in position for lighting.
3. An automatic combined cigarette container, dispenser, and lighter, the lighter cover comprising a spring-opened lid, and cigarette dispensing means pivotally attached to said lid, said means comprising a tube open at one side for the reception of a cigarette and a cross bar at the end ot' the tube for supporting the cigarette in dispensing position, and stop means in the container adjacent the dispensing tube for retaining the cigarette in position.
4. An automatic combined cigarette con.-
tainer, dispenser and lighter, the lighter cover comprising a spring-opened lid, and cigarette dispensing means pivotally attached to said lid, said means comprising a tube open at one side for the reception of a cigarette and a cross bar at the end of the tube for supporting the cigarette in dispensing position, and stop means in the container adjacent the dispensing tube for retaining the cigarette in position, and additional stop means for preventing the ingress of another cigarette into the space usually occupied by the dispensing tube.
5. An automatic combined cigarette container, dispenser, and lighter, the lighter cover comprising a spring-opened lid, and cigarette dispensing means pivotally attached to said lid, said means comprising a tube open at one side for the reception of a. cigarette and a cross bar at the end of the tube for supporting the cigarette in dispensing position, and stop aneans in the container adjacent the dispensing tube for retaining the cigarette in position, and additional stop means for preventing the ingress of another cigarette into the space usually occupied by the dispensing tube, said lastnamed stop means comprising a leaf spring positioned adjacent the arm of the tube when in closed position, and further acting as an additional force to impel the tube into dispensing position.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature.
