A burial vault embodying a bodyffporf tion :comprising an integral `'metal lease, a metal reinforcing fabric extendingover the `entire outer and innersurfaces of the metal .case and over :the afreeedges of the same, Said fabric Iembodying longitudinal and .transverse strands 'which .for prodllillg polygonal openings, certain of the strands spac ing elements arranged near each corner of Aeach polygonal opening, Portions of the reinorcing fabric being Welded together -and ,the laterally extending spacing elements being `welded to the metal case, and a concrete zease having the .metal case and reinforcing fabric embeddedtherein,'thearrangethemetal case including strands which 4cross .each other for producing substantially recta-ngular openings, said fabric including an outer bottom,outer sides carried bythe bot- ,tomand foldable over Athe edges of the metal .caseand carrying inner sides, one inner side carrying an inner bottom foldable upon such inner side, the inner bottom havingy its strands at its free end welded to the corresponding strands of the other inner side,4 said fabric comprising outer ends carrying inner ends which are foldable over the edges of the ends of the metal case, the strands ofthey outer ends being Welded to the corresponding strands of the outer sides and the strands ofthe inner ends being Welded to the corresponding strands offthe Vinner sides and the inner bottom, certain of the strands being bent inwardly for `producing laterally projecting spacing elements, said spacing yelements being arranged near all ofy the corners of each substantially rectangularopening,` n y the spacingv elements `being Welded to the metal case, and a concretecase having the metal case and reinforcing fabric embedded therein,V the arrangement being such, that the metal case, reinforcing fabric, and concrete case form in efect an integral structure.
