To all whom t't-may concern:
I Be it known that I, BENJAMIN D. WATSON, of Durant, in the county of Holmes and State of Mississippi, have invented a new and Improved Stock-Yoke, of which the following is a specificationz.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of my improved stock-yoke, in part section, showing the manner of applying it to a horse. Fig. 2is a plan View.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
The object of my inventionv is 'to provide a yoke that shall prevent animals from jumping over or destroying fences.
In the drawing, A is a saddle, concaved to fit the under side'of the body of the horse, and secured in place by the Strap a, that passes over the horses back. A mortise is made in the saddle to receive the arm 0, which is provided with the slot 12. A pin, 01, passes through the saddle A, and through the slot 01. The arm 0 is provided with the point 0, and with a perforated spring, e, which acts as a guard for the said point.
