This invention relates to a bottle napkin holder, the general object of the invention being to provide a clamp for encircling the neck of a bottle or the like and having jaw parts 5 forholding the napkin so that a napkin can be served with the bottle when desired.
This invention also consists in certain other features of Construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying 'drawing and specifically pointed out in the appended claim.
In describing the invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawing wheren like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure 1 is a view showing the invention in use.
lig. 2 is a top plan View of thedevice itsel As shown in these views, the device comprises a pair of members A and B each of which is formed with a diagonally arranged central portion 1 which are fastened together by the rivets 2. At one end each nember is bent into substantially semi-circular form as shown at 3 with its ends bent outwardly as shown at 4 so that the two semi-circular members 3 form a substantially circular spring clamp for engaging the neck of a bottle as shown in Fig. 1 with parts 4 diverging in order to facilitate the placing of the device around the neck of a bottle.
The other end of the two members slightly dverge as shown at 5 with the extremities curved outwardly as shown at 6 so that a napkin can be placed between the two parts 5 as shown in Fig. 1.
Thus I have provided a simple device for holding a napkin on a bottle or the like, so that the napkin can be served with the bottle and will be readily at hand for one drinking the contents of the bottle.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of the invention will be readily apparent.
It is to be understood that changes may be made in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts provided that such changes may fall within the scope of the appended claim.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is A napkin clamp for a bottle or the like comprsing a pair of members each having a diagonal intermediate part, a substantially semi-circular part connected to the upper end of the diagonal part, and a substantially straight jaw forming part connected to the lower end of the diagonal part, means for connecting together the diagonal parts of the two members, the two jaw parts slightly diverging and the two semi-circular parts forming a clamp for engagng the neck of a bottle.
