"My invention relates to'an improved device for detachably securing interchangeable ornaments to strap ends.

While my inyention may be employed for any type of strap end, it is particularly adapts ed for use with identification strap ends nor-' mally projecting from various types of bags and towhich in some form orother it is de- .sirable to attach an initial of the useror other types of interchangeable ornament. The bags are normally provided with theprojecting strap ends and if it is desired to employ initials as the ornament, enough initials may be'sold separately for the more common lettei's of the alphabet with onlyasmall number of bags and the purchaser may select the desired initial and have it readily detachably secured to the strapend by the vendor.

In a device for detachably securing interchangeable ornaments to strap ends, permanent strap end means, tubular means having a transverse split inthe upper end thereof having the end of said strap end means secured'between the edges of the split thereof, detachable ornament means and tubular means secured to the upper end thereof having a transverse split in the'upper end thereof adapted to slidably receive said strap end tubular means therein .with the strap extending through the split in the upper end thereof.

In a device for detachably securing interchangeable ornaments to strap ends, permanent strap end means, tubular means having a transverse split portion in the upper end having the end of said strap secured between the edges of the split thereof and a split portion in the lower end thereof and having closure caps pivotally mounted on each end thereof detachable ornament means and rod means secured by a narrow attaching means to said detachable ornament means and slidable within the split tubular means on said strap end means so that said narrow attaching means may rest in the split thereof.

In a device for detachably securing interchangeable ornamentsto strap ends, per manent strap end means, tubular means having a transverse split portion in the upper end 7 having the end of said strapsecured between V the edges of thesplit thereof-and afsplitportion in the lower end thereof, detachable or nament means and rod means secured by a narrow attachingmeans to said detachable ornament means and slidable within the split means so that said narrow attachingumeans may rest in the split thereof.
