The invention is fully disclosed in the fol- The straps 14; are tied at the top of the head lowing specification of which the accompanyas seen at 14a. The strap 12 is attached to ing drawing forms a part, in which the sepathe frontsedge of the crown 10 and projects rate parts of my im arovement are designated beyond said crown to fit around the head adby suitable reference characters, in each of jacent the forehead. The free end-portions the views, and in which 17 of said strap after passing downwardly Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the mask over the checks of the wearer are crossed bedevice detached with the several parts thereneath the chin and extended around the neck of extended. and are tied together as seen at 17a. In the Fig. 2 is a side view of the head of awearer accompanying drawing, the strap 12 is shown illustrating the mask partially applied therearranged upon the band 11, but this arrangeto. ment may be reversed if desired; that is to 8 is view similar to Fig. 1 showing say, the band 11 may be arranged outwardly the mask completely applied; and, of the strap 12 when the device is mounted Fig. i is a perspective View of the strucupon the head of the wearer. The strap 10 ml ture shown in Fig. 3. has reinforced edgings 18 corresponding to In carrying my invention into effect, I prothe edgingsof the other parts, it being aploo parent that all of the parts l0, l1 and 12 are composed of the network material. It will also be noted on considering Fig. i of the drawing that the central portion of the crown as well as the strap 12 is the same as indicated at 19 to properly shape the crown upon the head of the wearer.
In the use of the device, the crown 10 is first placed upon the head and the end portion 116 of the band 11 is passed around the chin and upwardly at the opposite side of the head through the strap loop 13 and the strips 14: tied at the top of the head to firmly support said band, after which the straps 16 are tied at the back of the neck. In the latter operation, the band 11 is drawn backwardly to draw the flesh of the cheeks, chin and part of the neck backwardly to correct sagging facial muscles as well as loose, flabby jowls, also serving to support the mouth and to correct what is known as drooping mouth lines, which results are also brought about by the strip 12, the ends'of which are crossed beneath the chin after drawing downwardly upon said strap ends to retain the cheeks in proper position, the ends 17 being brought around the neck and tied at the back of the neck, the latter ends serving to support the neck and lower chin muscles, to brace and support the various parts of the face referred to, including the neck, to maintain a youthful contour.
It will be understood that my improved mask is designed for use primarily by women and is preferably applied to'the head'prior to :retirin or at any other time and its constant use wil serve to maintain the desired youthful facial contour and avoid unduewrinkling of the face, it being understood that the mask supports practically all'of the facial muscles requiring the brace and support afforded by myimproved device. V
By employing in the construction of the several parts, a network fabric, preferably of a soft texture, it will .be understood that while the muscles are firmly supported in desired position, there are nevertheless yielding characteristics to this firm support which renders the device comfortable in use, and it will also be understood that my improved device may be used as a bandage in bracing and supporting various parts of the head.
While I have shown certain details of construction for carrying my invention into effect, it will be understood that I am not necessarily limited to these details, and various changes therein and modifications thereof may be made within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the spirit of my invention or sacrificing its advantages.
Having fully describedmy invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
