IMPROVEMENT IN ICE-CUTTING MACHINES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 185,354, dated December 12, 1876; application filed October 9, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, J. l\IURAT RUSSELL, of Potters Hollow, Albany county, State of New York, 11ave invented a new and useful Ice- Outting Machine, which is set forth in the ibllowing-specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.
The object of my invention is to produce agage-plates, (marked B,) two in number, are so arranged as to govern the depth of the cut-' ting, and may be set according to the power attached, so as to cut from one to six inches deep.
The plate or runner (marked 0, and attached by cross-bars to the cutting-beam on a sliding bar) governs the size oithe cake of ice. The platform, (marked D,) attached on the top of the cutting-bar, forms the seat for the driver or man who works the machine.
'hat I claim as my invention is The combination, with an ice-cutting machine, of the adjustable gage G and the vertically-adjustable gages B, substantially asand for the purpose described.
