IMPROVEMENT IN BACK COMBS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 184,793, dated November 28, 1876; application tiled September 30, 12:76.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JEROME E. MORSE, of
' the city of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Combination Back Comb, which is fully set forth in the following specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings hereto annexed. v
In the drawings, Figure 1 represents a plan view of my combination back comb; Fig. 2, an inverted plan view of the same; Fig. 3, a
sectional view of the same.
The object of my invention is to construct a useful and ornamental comb for ladies wear.
. It consists of two combs, A A, connected together by one or more elastic bands, braids, or cords, or like devices, B, plain or ornamental, or a combination of bands, braids, or cords, or like devices, and bars, plain or ornamental, the said bars crossing said bands, &c., at any angle.
The said elastic bands, braids, or cords, or like devices, B, may be constructed in one piece with the combs A A, or may be attached to the combs A A by rivets, or in any other suitable manner.
The teeth 0 of the combs A A may be made of any desired length.
My combination back comb may be constructed of shell, rubber, horn, metal, or any other suitable material, or a combination of JEROME E. MORSE.-
