Specification formingpart of Letters Patent No. l 84,009, dated November 7, 1875; application filed June 15, 1876.

Beit known that l', JONATHAN P. Figure l is a side elevation of my invention. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same; and Fig. 3 is a View of a portion of the invention, the shelf being detached.
The object of my invention isto provide a stove-pipe with a series of shelves; and it consists in the peculiar construction and arrangement hereinafter more specifically pointed out and claimed.
The object is accomplished by means of two cast-iron uprights, A A, fastened,by two clasps, O C, to stove-pipe D, the uprights A A being constructed with hooks b b at three equidistant points, and with stops S S opposite, which iit into depressions, and support the `shelf' or shelves when in position, and allows them to be raised parallel with the stove-pipe when not in use, and secured by fasteningsf f, or become detached, as desired. L designates a shelf of woven wire or other suitable material, having brace-rods P P crossing it longitudinally, 'and also a transverse rod, O, upon which the catches or curved arms b hook.
The clasps C O, being made in sections, are so arranged that, by changing` the lateral or back-side sections thereof, any sized pipe can be attached thereto, thus obviatin g any change in size or shape of the shelf or shelves.
Sections g g are used for a six (6) inch pipe, and h h for a seven (7) inch pipe; and, in like manner, any size pipe can be used.
I claim as my inventionl. The uprights A A, provided with diverging arms having hooks and pins b S, substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
