his invention relates to improvements in; neckties, particularly to holders for neckties formation of the knot and neck-1 tie by sewing its material about a holder avoiding the tedious and sometimes vexing;

allowing the knotting of a necktie.

It is the principal to provide a necktie object of my invention holder allowing a ready attachment of the tie to a collar button or removal therefrom.

Another object of my invention is the, ie vision of a necktie holder of comparativelysimple and inexpensive make, yet durable and efficient in operation, allowing its adjustment to collars of varying heights.

It will be understood that I have disclosed the preferred form of my invention only and that I may make such changes therein as are warranted by the scope of the appended claims without departure from my invention.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and Patent is:

1. A necktie holder comprising a pair of clamp members having upper rear flanges recessed at their oppositely disposed inner ends for engagement with the shank of a collar button, means for pivotallyconnecting said members,

the lower ends of said members apart to close the upper flanges about the shank of said holes for stitching collar button, and a three-branched upper former connected to saidholder allowing the "formation of a knot of the necktie material about'the same, said members provided with the material to the holder.

2. A necktie holder comprising a pair of clamp members having upper rear flanges recessed at their oppositely disposed inner ends for engagement with the shank of a collar button, a pair of rear end tongues formed with said members overlapping one another, and a pair of frontal overlapping tongues formed with said members, a vertical pin extending through said overlapping tongues, heads at the ends of said pin allowing a limited relative motion of'the tongues of each pair; and 'a three-branched upper formerha-ving one ofits branches beneath the upper, head on said pin and its other branches laterally extending from said first named branch at an inclination thereto for allowing the formation of a knot in the necktie material about, said former; said clamp members provided with holes for stitching the material of the necktie to the holder.
